1:09 There is a common misconception that "Bihari" is a language, and many people, both in India and abroad, mistakenly label Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Magahi as "Bihari." However, "Bihari" is not a language; it is a term used to describe the people from Bihar, a state in eastern India. Bihar is home to a rich linguistic heritage, with multiple languages spoken across its regions, each with distinct grammar, vocabulary, and cultural significance. Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Magahi are three of the primary languages spoken in Bihar, and each represents a unique cultural and linguistic identity.
Bihar has 3 main regions Bhojpur Mithila Magadh With languages bhojpuri maithili and magadhi spoken respectively. The reason why its important to mention is that these 3 regions are older than bihar. Bihar was creared by delhi sultanate. Whereas mithila magadh are there since 300 bce.
u said absolutely right.. & to add the word "BIHAR" has been derived from "VIHAR" which means wandering in the garden or forest. These parts of magadh and mithila were all lush green forest very fertile and here Gautam Buddha used to meditate in the forest. Many pagodas & viharas were made by Buddha followers in this region, that is why is was named Bihar. Shame on Indians who these days insult people of Bihar by saying that word BIHARI is an abuse.
भयवा अंग प्रदेश किधर चली गैल मतलब हद है अगर ज्ञान न हो तो ऐसे ज्ञान दिया भी न करो Bihar, an Indian state in eastern India, is divided into multiple regions, including: Physiographic regions Bihar is divided into three physiographic regions: the Shivalik Ranges and Terai Region, the Ganga Plains, and the Southern Plateau Region. Like Hindi, bhojpuri, maithili etc.....he is talking hindi in bihari accent, like how there is hindi with delhi accent is little diff, but everyone can understand or how English language is there with diff accent......waiting for your other episodes....the energy which which you ask questions is really great which makes epidodes entertaining.....thank you so much
Just like there is no "Indian", there is also no "Bihari" language in itself...people mix HIndi + Magahi(Magadh)/Maithili(Mithila-mostly in Bihar, but a part also in Nepal and to an extent North Bengal)/Bhojpuri(Bhojpur region of Bihar and UP separated from Magadh via Son River). There is also Angika of Anga region(Karna's kingdom during Mahabharat) and Tirhut region(where Bhojpuri and Maithali mix a bit). So, due to long continuous history, there is a huge diversity of culture and language in Bihar. Sadly, this is being lost and destroyed over time. Hopefully, we can prevent the erosion and reinvigorate the culture, economy, languages and the pride of being the ancient unifier of today's India.

Hi, at least we try. Also, you need to understand there must be a reason for us to talk like that. The guest is Korean but his accent is a little Bihari (even he says that). He is not fluent in proper bhojpuri language that’s why we referred it as Bihari Accent only. But anyway, I’m not from Bihar but I respect all the languages and dialects equally. Also, learning never stops. We are all learning everyday. I also learnt a few things from him, as an individual. :)
