Thanks for the review, I like how you told about the error message, and cable. Remind us to make sure it’s well and truly pegged down, so many reviews don’t mention small niggles. Looks like a really good mower. And a lot less bothersome for those of us either without the time to mow, or as in my case - not in the first flush of youth.
I have a robomow too! But you Can also controll it on youre iPhone ipad Android all! And you Can controll it so you Can make it go over the Line and it wont stop
This was a load product, we kept it for a month while testing and then had to hand it back, so cant comment on how well it would still be going after 2 years.
Thanks for the review, have you come across anything else you would like to add to this video since?? I think that we would buy one of these as well. :-)
My exact opposite issue. I purchased two of them. Why? Because the RL800 I purchased lasted 12 years. Then there are these chines creatures. The one in my front yard had the mower motor go out within the first year which was under warranty. Then the one in the backyard did the same thing. They dodged my phone calls and emails for about three months until they finally answered and said they couldnt prove where I purchased the thing. Now, the nice english guy that I finally got to talk to the last time and the first time in customer service fixed the issue right away. Since then I have had my backyard mower get stuck in some mud, nevermind having a moisture sensor, and get a broken wheel shaft pulling it out. So, I bite the bullet and purchase another $200 drive assymbly. Now my robot starts acting retarded the second it comes out of the base station and turning in circles. It hits things and throws the drive motor overheat error. I have tried contacting MTD or whatever their name is by email but I get mail deamon failure. When you call on the phone they always have new hours and have conveniently closed about 10 minutes before. This is the same with robomow. Now I am sure if I purchase parts they have some sort of warranty. So the thing that triggers the issue seems to be it actually doing something. I can drive the thing around all day with the bluetooth app. Let it sit for more than a couple of minutes the garden gnomes come by and give it a lobotomy. So, I flip the power switch off and back on and I can reconnect. Again I can connect using bluetooth manual control but the second I turn the mowing motor on it goes gimp again and starts turning in a giant clockwise circle. Then it throws main drive mother overheat again. OF course I could lit it sit there in the middle of the yard and spin around for about five seconds every ten minutes or so but that isnt good. When i move it to the charger it completely charges and then backs out, turns in the wrong way, and makes a sprint straight for out of the wire. Luckily about a foot later it hits the foundation of my house. Then it slams around wildly for a few minutes doing things like hitting the AC and propane tanks before finally throwing an error which one in 10 times is something like outside zone. Look, this is unacceptable. I have two of these. From what I can tell they do what the hell they ever want to do. I have had to put islands around small roots in my yards because after shewing them away they decide to come back there over and over again no matter how many times I reset or changes things. I purchased both of these after having an RL800 that lasted for 12 years. The worst I had to do was replace batteries every couple of years. These things seem designed to suck you dry on part cost. This is horrible and will tarnish the robomow reputation. I think it is a disgrace that I have to purchase a $200 gearbox to replace a $2 plastic shaft. Then have it fail because the motor is faulty. You guys want to kill robot mowers? Keep making these and keep not supporting parts and design flaws while hiding behind your "WARRANTY." If anyone purchased a Dixie Chopper or KABOTA and had to drop $300 in parts in it a year they would have problems. But we can take an unproven concept and design it to rape the customer but expect a profit? Really? The RL800 I had was quality. The best I can see these are $600 robot mowers from china with firmware that requires me to buy expensive parts!!!!
@@TechNuovo Yeah. Reading European forums they come standard with a 3-5 year warranty. Mine is 3. I am thinking the problem on mine is the mainboard. That is a $320 fix. I am teetering on selling the thing for parts and picking up something better. The Worx series look nice and come with a 3 year warranty.
@@K0gashuk0 The Worx seems nice and their batteries are all interchangeable with all their other products. And the Husqvarna looks to me like it has really taken off as the #1 contender. I am planning to get the Husqvarna mower for myself.

Thanks for the tip!
Great review - really detailed, thanks for the effort
Thanks for watching!
Why is it so noisy? Maybe this is turbo mode? Can you record how loud it is in normal mode.
Hi, thanks for the video. So 2 years in has it stood the test of time? I’m looking at getting one soon!

"It's very quiet".. 5:55: Jet takeoff.. :-)

Not really no, just really make sure you really peg the perimeter wire in!

Hi K0gashuk0, sorry to hear you're having so many issues! Sounds like Robomow need to step up their customer service game.

Wowww... It sounds super noisy!
Do not buy, the warranty isn’t worth the paper it was written on, I have one, piece of junk. Checkout my site to see mine randomly spinning in circles
Wtf, why would you write this on multiple videos about different products? Do you have multiple or are you just trolling?
Wtf, why would a company offer and boast of a 5 year warranty and the do everything they can to wriggle out of honouring it.
Hi! Out of curiosity, what was the problem you had?
Good video, but heavens above. I don't want to see a bloody timelapse of you reading the instructions. Get on with it.
Noted 😅
