  • In this video, Dr. Strauss addresses the topic of mild scoliosis, a condition characterized by a side-to-side bend in the spine ranging from 10 to 20 degrees. While the medical approach often involves doing nothing, research shows that a 20-degree curve in young children has a high chance of progressing. Dr. Strauss advocates for a proactive approach, offering an exercise-based program for children to perform at home to stabilize and reduce the curve. For adults with mild scoliosis, who often experience pain, exercise-based treatment is recommended to prevent further progression and improve their quality of life.

Yes, thank you!!! Leaving it "be" in a child is beyond ridiculous to me. There's so much that can be changed, especially in the young ones.

I was told recently that I have mild adult scoliosis. I'm located in India. I wonder if you know of any place nearby where I can get the exercise treatment you mentioned. Thank you.

I remember as a child I had to do exercises of swinging my arm backwards 10 times and forward 10 times at a half hour session each time ,, its only now at 61yrs I can feel my shoulders coming forward and a difference in my body shape of my head going forward

The key to bracing is the right design, good fittings, and modification of the brace as the spine is changing.
