Born and raised in Pontiac. Grew up there in the 50s and 60s. Pontiac was a great place to grow up. Fond memories of Bagley School, Jefferson Jr. High and Pontiac Central HS. When GM left prosperity left with it. The flags are probably left over from the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Funny how I just watched the Akron video where I spent some of my childhood. when Quaker Oats closed down we moved to Pontiac. Dad worked for GM but then Pontiac went to hell as well.
I always feel sad that all that immense public architecture is going tom deteriorate and collapse because the current crop of "Leaders" don't seem to value maintenance as a worthy achievement. The roads are as bad as I've seen so far in your videos---and you have seen some car-sized potholes before. Just stay safe when you do these? Love, David
Thank you for telling the truth. Lots of potentials but no will to build up the city.

Reminds me of Rockturd, IL

The day I find a city that has good roads will be a good day. The roads are horrible everywhere. But we know who runs these bad cities
