@@kauske there are cases of long lost separated twins the would meet in college at parties and would NOT realize that they are identical. They would only think: oh that guy sort of look similar to me.
@@laserpmr Anecdotal evidence is not substantial; humans are innately good at facial recognition, even from a very young age. It's clearly put in as a joke, the same way every Tanen is played by the same actor. Biff, Biff jr., even Buford Tanen is the same actor with minimal makeup.
What I like about this scene is just how rare it is to see Biff being relatively relaxed, every other version of him (including his ancestor Mad Dog and his grandson Griff) is usually always really loud and expressive about his anger, throwing punches, imposing himself on everyone else and trying to be taken seriously. Then there's also the other version of Biff seen at the end of the first and third films, and he's kind of doing a similar thing, he's trying to suck up to the McFly family to stay off George's shit list since he's both loaded and a threat, and that behavioral change is kind of feasible when you see how Biff usually has a gang of cronies tagging along doing the same for him, and he's only really altering his behavior around the McFlys, still called Marty a butthead when he mistook him for someone else. But this version of Biff, as soon as he's asked to talk about the sports almanac, damn he's calm, he doesn't feel like he needs to threaten anyone into respecting him, he's so sure that he's in control, it's intimidating, really good acting too.
Not to mention Biff is the son of a notorious gangster, Irving "Kid" Tannen . And the great-great grandson of Beauregard Tannen who built the Palace Saloon in 1876. Marty would cross paths with both of them. Both Beauregard and Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen were Old West gunslingers.
5:11. Marty: “Your not going to believe this, we got to go back to 1955.” Doc: “I don’t believe it.” I mean, he said you weren’t going to believe it Doc
I love the left girl's reaction on 0:30-0:31 when Biff says Party's over. She's like confused and thinking "What? The kid makes the call?" The other girl doesn't react. Nice touch there.
When Marty jumps, I like how easy it is to tell the emotions that go through Biff. He starts with surprise, because he didn't expect it to be that easy, then quickly changes to indignation, because he's arrogant by nature and always suspected the McFlys were cowards and to his mind, this proves it, then caution, because he realizes it couldn't have been that easy so he needs to make sure Marty is actually dead, then finally shock when Marty comes flying up on the hood of the Delorean.
I wish Biff's grandma was in the third movie, it would be funny to see how much of a shrew she was in 1885! Biff could have turned out actually nice if he didn't live with her.
@@marvinthemaniac7698 I was replying to Andy's comment about how he would've liked to see Biff's grandma in 1885. We find out in BTTF 2 that Biff lives with his grandma in 1955 but don't know how old she is in 1955. It is revealed when Marty receives the letter from Doc from the Western Union man in 1955 that the letter was written 70 years ago. When I graduated High School in 1986, both my grandmothers were alive to attend my graduation. They were 79 and 81 years old at the time.
@@marvinthemaniac7698 nothing except as a point of reference to illustrate my point about the probability of Biff's grandma being an infant or young child in 1885. You say that Buford does not have a wife and children but that isn't accurate because Buford is Biff's great grandfather and Buford is arrested for robbing the stagecoach and that carries a minimum 5 year sentence. Also in a deleted scene in part 3 before Buford meets Marty in town for the showdown he shoots Marshall Strickland in the back with Marshall Strickland's son as a witness. Buford would've been hung for that crime so Buford would've had to be married with children in 1885 for Biff to be alive in 1955.
Everything about these movies hits right in the feels, martys straight up fearlessness, Biffs downright evil attitudes, Docs surprise and wonder- and the music makes me feel like a kid again, This is what they mean by movie magic
But what’s funny is Donald Trump was nothing like this in the 80’s. He was married with his kids and he was buying up real estate. Biff got rich off of betting on hoarse racing. Trump and Ivana together got rich in the 80’s off of renovating hotels they bought.
Green Rhino Videos later on he did have his affair with Marla Maples, he was a bachelor, he did have other business ventures that failed, from casinos, to yacht companies, to universities that failed. Today his son Eric runs the real estate venture while he runs the country.

Excuse me for correcting, but that's not a show, that's a movie. A Fistful of Dollars, to be precise.
@@Ragninsky my bad
Filming 2 and 3 back-to-back really let them set up a lot of things in 2 that pay off in 3. Mentioning Buford Tannen in the Tannen museum, Doc talking about wishing he got to visit the old west, Marty showing off his Wild Gunman skills, getting the hoverboard for the train sequence in 3, probably more that's slipping my mind right now...
@@Ragninsky It's from A Fistful of Dollars, a movie.
@@Rodanguirus Exactly; they had so many ideas for BTTF2 that they just split them into two movies; they even filmed them back-to-back. They were actually scared that people wouldn't be too receptive of BTTF2's cliffhanger; that's why they teased BTTF3 right after.
Biffs reaction to Marty stepping off the building is so good
idiot
This Delorean version was the best imo. A Flying time machine that eats food waste for fuel
And it can also fly!
Only for the nuclear reaction.
It still runs on good ol' unleaded gasoline. (Never understood how the flying circuits ran on gasoline lol)
@@GiuseppeGaetanoSabatelli The flying parts were powered on the reactor too, but were destroyed by the lightning. The odd thing is that nothing else was. Truth be told though, a gasoline jet-engine makes more sense than some sort of electric fan; you can run jet engines on just about any combustible gas or liquid.
Back to the future will simply never get old... Pun intended 🤣
Nobody cares if it's "intended" or not "intended".
Except for you cuz you commented about it 😂
1:37 "So there I was, minding my own business when this crazy old codger with a cane shows up. He says he's my distant relative. I don't see any resemblance..."
LOL I've always loved that line. It's such a subtle, yet hilarious example of how monumentally dumb Biff is.
I don't think it dumb. Most people would not recognize their future selves either since we are used to seeing ourselves only from a specific angle)
its also somewhat terrifying, in that even a malevolent moron can become extremely powerful and dangerous
@@laserpmr If you literally cannot recognize the structure of your own face; that would be indicative of a serious mental illness. Age regardless, the bone structure is going to be roughly the same. Even after up to a decade separated parents can generally recognize their children and vice versa; humans are generally very good with faces outside of certain neurological issues.
No matter how many times I rewatch BTTF, is still damn goodd
It's unreal just how good this movie series is
What I like about this scene is just how rare it is to see Biff being relatively relaxed, every other version of him (including his ancestor Mad Dog and his grandson Griff) is usually always really loud and expressive about his anger, throwing punches, imposing himself on everyone else and trying to be taken seriously.
5:11.
Marty: “Your not going to believe this, we got to go back to 1955.”
Doc: “I don’t believe it.”
I mean, he said you weren’t going to believe it Doc
0:53 *“SIT DOWN”*
Goddamn that was powerful!!
I love the left girl's reaction on 0:30-0:31 when Biff says Party's over. She's like confused and thinking "What? The kid makes the call?" The other girl doesn't react. Nice touch there.
0:48 "Alright, take a seat....SIT DOWN!!!" I love how he gently tells him to sit, and then has to shout it at him, lol.
"You're not gonna believe this!"
"I don't believe it!"
acting 10/10
I wish Biff's grandma was in the third movie, it would be funny to see how much of a shrew she was in 1885!
Biff could have turned out actually nice if he didn't live with her.
Biff's grandma would probably not be born yet in 1885 or if she was she would be either an infant or very young girl.
@@danbryan3417 Buford Tannen didn't have a wife or children.
@@danbryan3417 what do your grandparents have to do with this movie?
Rick & Morty vs Donald Trump
I believe they based his character on Trump on purpose.

0:15 let's just remember someone had to edit this scene. At any point did they think "hey it looks like Marty is about to take a pee in the hot tub"
The guy who plays Biff should be a voice actor, because WOW!!! What a voice!!!
He does voice some characters in SpongeBob
He did voiced Biff again in the cartoon series & video game, too.
These movies really are just absolutely excellent! I absolutely love them now and loved them as a kid!
Donald Trump was actually the inspiration for this version of Biff - no joke! Of course, that was back in the 80s...
But what’s funny is Donald Trump was nothing like this in the 80’s. He was married with his kids and he was buying up real estate. Biff got rich off of betting on hoarse racing. Trump and Ivana together got rich in the 80’s off of renovating hotels they bought.
Independent Contractor Interesting... 🤔
Green Rhino Videos later on he did have his affair with Marla Maples, he was a bachelor, he did have other business ventures that failed, from casinos, to yacht companies, to universities that failed. Today his son Eric runs the real estate venture while he runs the country.
Independent Contractor I actually do see similarities between Biff and Trump, such as Trump Tower being eerily similar to Biff’s Pleasure Palace.
Green Rhino Videos no, Trump Tower looks completely different.
I'm old enough to remember when this movie was new, and in the theaters. I saw the original Back to the Future, in the theaters. I think I have this one on DVD. This is a great scene. This movie a timeless Classic that never gets old. Thank you.

The reason Biff muttered "Idiot" after Marty jumped is because Biff was bluffing him with an empty gun. Biff had fired all 5 rounds from his revolver and missed (he must have learned to shoot from an Imperial Strormtrooper). Seconds later, it's Biff who looks like an idiot, getting knocked out cold by the DeLorean's door!
I wonder if Marty could have outfought Biff hand to hand.
@@louissteven8862 He's punched Biff a few times, but all the times he has punched Biff, Biff wasn't expecting it. And besides, Biff and Marty were technically the same age when Marty punched Biff. But, Biff hit Marty really good a couple of times in the Famous Tunnel scene when they were fighting for the Sports Almanac..Biff also punched Marty in his stomach earlier.... Hmm. It would be interesting to see Middle aged Biff and Teenaged Marty fighting one on one with actual fists....Biff and Marty have NEVER fought each other at the same time in a one on one brawl. Everytime they hit each other, it is one sided....
All 3 of these movies are classics.
Imagine if biff killed that Marty , then the Marty from that timeline comes home. Biff would be freaking out.
One of the greatest movies ever made.
Would love to see a Biff/Tom Wilson spin off like they did with Cobra Kai. Always thought he was misunderstood/victim of circumstance and the true Biff is the one where he is friends with Marty's father.
1:10 it's so weird seeing biff beat the shit out of him and shout at him in earlier scenes then talk to him like a mentor.
Still have some step father feelin right there. Till he remember to clip anybody who ask about the book
This is a very rare thing; a sequel arguably better than the original.
I so wish they'd make more of these. I know poor old Michael J Fox couldn't do it anymore so they'd need to recast, but I'd love too see a stone age Biff, or Biff as leader of the klingons in the 29th century.
I just went into a trance where I thought I was watching the whole movie and when it stopped I questioned life for a split second
