Welcome to the Kanoni Peninsula and let's explore this wonderful place together. We are located at the lookout point at the international airport of Corfu "Ioannis Kapodistrias" (CFU), where you can experience the great spectacle of planes taking off and landing. In this video you will see interesting photo spots with beautiful views, local restaurants, a picturesque harbor and Vlacherna Monastery and its surroundings. The Kanoni peninsula is located in Greece near the city of Kerkyra right next to the airport. The most beautiful view is from the restaurant at The Royal Grand Hotel, where you can take beautiful photos and videos.
It is also possible to walk to the Kanoni peninsula directly over the bridge by the runway, past the Pontikonisi beach, where you can watch the planes. If you like adrenaline, wait for the plane to fly over you and land. Vlacherna Monastery, also known as Panagia Vlacherna, or Moní Vlacherna, is a small Byzantine church on a small island in the lagoon area south of the main island of Corfu, Greece. The church is an important place for the Orthodox community in Corfu. A concrete bridge connects the island to the mainland and offers a wonderful view of the church and the lagoon. The island is an attraction for hundreds of visitors, which also charmed the directors of important foreign film producers. It is said that anyone who has not been to the Kanoni area and has not seen the monastery of Vlacherna and Pontikonisi has not found Corfu.
After crossing the footbridge, you will find yourself in the courtyard of the monastery and there, on the left, you will find a shop and you will be able to venerate the icon of the Virgin Mary in the church of the monastery.
