The thing people don't realize is that those turbo Dodge Caravans and Plymouth Voyagers were fun to drive.
I have an N/A 2.5 1993 Plymouth Caravan 5 speed, and when you're just chilling, it is still a fun vehicle to drive. It's so slow that pushing it in a corner flat out to redline isn't actually breaking any laws, haha.

There you go BRO! ... i was waiting for somebody to come wit it, but i guess they dont know, now they do but yeah this was Dodge's Original Conquest 's akin, i always hated it back then when somebody used to pull up beside a Starion/Tsi in one of these i felt that they were a copy cat and Dodge was trying to hard with this and the Dodge Shadow Coupe (remember that) but now looking at these as they stand the test of time theyr'e rather smooth looking and they get my respect.

That is a beautiful Daytona. I had two 87' Shelby Z Daytonas at different times. One was black, 5spd and my daily driver for 9 years. The other was red with the exact same tan color leather int. as the one you're selling but had the Turbo l with an auto. and had lower miles and was even in better shape then the one you're selling. I currently have a 5spd 84' Turbo Z I bought from the orig. VA owner about 20 years ago.

Bulletmotorsports, the 1987 Daytona Shelby Z with Turbo II and 5 speed manual was rated at 174HP and 200Lb/ft of torque. The VNT Turbo IV and 5 speed manual (Variable Nozzle Turbo) model Daytona Shelby that you alluded to was a 1990 model year only and that one was rated at 174 HP and 210 Lb/ft of torque. Both the '87 and '90 were 2.2L engines, 135 cubic inches. Thanks for sharing this vehicle. Oh, and the Turbo Dodge Caravan's and Plymouth Voyagers had 2.5L engines or 153 Cubic inches....'89 and '90 only.

I actually had a flash red( i think that's what the factory color was called) 1990, 2.5vliter turbo. It had the "CS" fender badges only. It didn't have all the extra ground effects on it, although it did have the rear tail kit, which did shave off some weight. It did come with the five speed and was hella fun to drive😊. Oh, and I did just want to add that I bought it in 1991with only 7600 miles on it, so it was definitely factory, as I had the actual bill sheet from the dealer that was left in the glove box.

@@BorderCzar_Kamala Yah, Automatic transmission equipped Shelby Daytona's had the 2.5L and NO intercooler. Oh well....they were torque monsters though. My original response was specific to the '87 Shelby Z and '90 Shelby Daytona. The CS ( Competition Sport ) you owned although rare and a sleeper would have been even more rare with the '90 2.2L VNT intercooled engine but restricted to 5 speed manual only!

@@BorderCzar_Kamala Very nice and capable package that your car was. I wonder how many are left? The 2.5L Turbo engine in your CS was effectively a second gen T1 car.

Looks like you sold it. I'd be curious to know how much it went for. I had an '88 back in the day, red, but otherwise the exact same car. Loved it. Basically gave it away around 2010 to a collector when I couldn't find parts for it for regular repairs anymore. It was a tight machine with no body roll in corners, it was surprisingly quick for a 2.2, and that FWD was great in the snow. Never got stuck once, even during some pretty bad snow storms. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed the memories.

One annoying little issue about the gauges. As these cars aged the heat would affect the Hall effect sensor in lower back of engine that supplied the tachometer with the rpms. It was a simple replacement to do. I had this happen to my car.

Woodgrain is aftermarket in this car. Daytona / Laser would be black plastic trim. Lebaron would have the burled walnut overlays.
