Maybe I should look into the slippery elm? I have Sjogren's and lately my esophagus has even been feeling dry so wondering if that would help.

I have been drinking slipper elm for about a year. I have Barrett's esophagus and it has helped. I also take omega's, D3, E and C. I'm 62, my sister and I both have Sjogren's, we also believed our mom had it too. I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 6. My whole life I have had problems with sleep and anxiety. I'm not sure if age or Sjogren's has made my symptoms more extreme. Recently after watching a UA-cam video on ADHA recommending high dosing Niacinamide, I decided to give it a try. This is not Niacin they are both B3 but have different effects in the body. Its been a week since starting Niacinamide and I'm a little blown away at my improvements. I'm starting out slow because of stomach issues so I take 250mg 3 times a day. So far my sleep and anxiety has improved and I feel much more calmer. The reason why I'm posting this is because Niacinamide also helps with arthritis. My pain from arthritis has also improve. Like I said it's only been a week so I'm not sure if I'm just having a great week or the Niacinamide. But I haven't felt this good in awhile and I'm very excited about my finding of Niacinamide.

Chinese liquorice 甘草 works very well for Sjogrens dry mouth. a small piece of liquorice in mouth during sleep can keep the mouth moisturized. Thank you Dr.Yu for your useful advice!🤩🤩🤩

Thanks so much for this video plus all that pertain to Sjogren's as recently besides the typical dry eyes and mouth, dry skin, I also feel like I have socks on up to my knees. Well, long story short is after a NCT test it's not neuropathy but obviously one of your 13 Lupus symptoms and I'm definitely going to follow up with all of these supplements to support my condition(s). PS reminder, I'm 90% raw vegan, eating cruciferous veggies some fruits , green smoothies with flaxseeds/chia seeds etc. AND NOW I will try your new supplement info regarding my Sjogren's Syndrome skin symptoms. THANK YOU SO MUCH! -Lin

Ahoj! My mother was born in Makov. Do you think this might be hereditary? I am RhNegative blood type. It's rare, only 15% of the world's population being RhNegative. My mother was RhNegative too. Ďakujem🙏

Thank you doc, for a very consise blog! I have had Sjogren’s for about 10 yrs along with 2 other AI conditions: Hashimoto’s and Eczema. I also have Lymphocytosis( increased Lymphocytes levels), which, as I found out, relates to Sjogren’s. About 40% of S sufferers develop Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, so I check my lymphocytes regularly.
I have been taking Vit D 5000IU every other day for over 10 yrs; NAC every day; I eat fatty fish 3 times a week and use Turmeric in most of my dishes. I used to take Pycnogenol, but stopped, because it is very expensive, and I didn’t know of many benefits, except it is very powerful anti-oxidant.
My S hasn’t increased, stays the same, but I would like to improve it, especially with Lymphocytes. I will try Slippery Elm ( my husband has been taking it anyway), Ev Primrose with the help of my doctor, who will devise doses and monitor progress.

I have tried to take vitamin d because I know I need it as I am sitting at a level 9 last I checked. I have primary Sjogrens, Fibromyalgia, and Endometriosis. However, no matter what dosage of IUs that I take, no matter if it is 1000 IU, 5000 IU in pill form or in liquid form, I end up getting episodes out of nowhere of bowel issues. I call them bowel attacks because they cause so much pain in my left side it is exhausting and during these "bowel attacks" I BM 4 times with in an hour and a half starting from Hard stool and by the time my last BM it is soft. Not sure if this is because I have an absorption problem or if it is from slow motility in my intestines or what. I have talked to many doctors about this, but they have never given me any advice or even looked into this issue. 😔

I used to take evening primrose oil for menopause symptoms on the recommendation of a good friend that's a registered nurse. I stopped taking it when I started taking hormone replacement along with plaquenil. Now I'm intrigued about this supplement. Edit: I used to take pygnogenol too but stopped, uh oh.Thank you so much Dr. Yu!

I have Sjogrens, and I believe that many autoimmune conditions have a poorly functionally autonomic nervous system is root cause of most symptoms. Plant Phytosterols aks sterols and sterolins is perhaps the best supplement there is for pheripheral nerve support and healing. Doses of about 1 gram per day have done wonders for me!
