i like the fact that hyunjin dances with his WHOLE body too. he dances not only with his core but with all the wya to his toes to his finger to his head, which ive noticed most other dancers don't acknowledge as much. that and with his passion and skill, it can truly say he dances with his all.

Hyunjin is really an excellent dancer. In their performances I always notice small details that others might forgot or not able to do but he is consistent in doing that. For example is in one of the footworks in s class. He makes also the dance steps look like his own choreography. His charisma on stage while performing is on top tier level. He is very charismatic and expressive, and when he moves, the lines are always clear. He is not just a pretty face indeed. He worked hard as a trainee until now to keep improving himself.
Hyunjin is something else, he's once in a generation artist and dancer. As dancer myself there're very few dancers I can watch performances more than 1. I have to admit, I watched every single Performance of Hyunjin multiple times and I'll never get enough of it. It's so satisfying.... this man is ART himself. His expressiveness is really incredible. He has it all. Yeap, angles, silhouette, facial expressions, even his hair dances synchronized. But important is to mention he's excellent as technical dancer!!! He never looked overmoved or over danced. I'm glad you mentioned quality of his movements. That's why his performances are addictive
Okay, no idea how many have seen/watched Dance Moms but I’ve always said Hyunjin is the Maddie of Stray Kids. Is he the best technical dancer? No. Does he have the most amazing extensions, expressions, lyrical movements-absolutely. He sucks in the audience with us aura and keeps you engaged from start to finish. He doesn’t perform the performance, he IS the performance.

I hate it when people say he doesn’t have the best technique and he’s more of a performer. While the dancers who are technically good but can't express the emotion as much as Hyunjin are considered technically better but as we see in this video, expressing the emotion IS ALSO ABOUT technique. He'd rather people compliment him on his talent than his looks. He knows he's attractive, but he works his ass off to prove he's worth the attention. It also goes back to his sassy style. When he was on hiatus, we can all tell he didn't just sit there and do nothing the whole time. He prepared for his Play With Fire cover showing everyone that even though he was gone, he's back and better than ever. Really pouring his emotions such as anger into it. He only got to do one Kingdom stage so this is what they missed. He may not be the best in the world but he's my one of my favorites I've ever seen. Very memorable and draws peoples attention. sometimes, I think, why hyunjin is my bias of skz, but whenever I see him perfoming any new song, he always makes me speachless, his powerful dance matching his facial expressions, and how he does adapt the new dance with his personal touch like the eyeroll in maniac, or the smile in backdoor first chorus. also his moves looks so powerful but so clean, smoth and precise, I've never seen anyone like him
I don't know the technicalities on dancing but one thing I'm sure of is that Hyunjin is an instrument of art. You know how a certain painting draws you in, or a song can make you feel emotions it's the same with his dancing.. Everyone can draw, sing or dance but very few people could transcend emotions to people. It's a gift backed up by authenticity/sincerity. Hyunjin has it.

I enjoy watching both styles and get chills from what they are able to bring to a choreography.

I really loved that you explained how Hyunjin's main strength is how he channels emotion through dance. He has a very charismatic style of dancing that expresses music's emotion really well, and I love that you pointed out how he is aware of the camera. BTS V reminds me a lot of Hyunjin's style of dance. They both have that way of drawing you in while watching. Hyunjin's awareness of dynamics and how to express emotion demand attention in all of his performances. He really is an artist. At the end, you teased the way Hyunjin dances as part of a pair during Red Lights, and now I would LOVE a breakdown of the Red Lights choreography and the Hyunjin and Bangchan live performances. Their styles are quite different, but what they share in common is charisma and powerful facial expressions. The ways they played off each other in the choreography is really interesting.

I've had the honor of seeing hyunjin dance live and he is absolutely MESMORIZING, I was drawn to him every single time throughout the concert. i love how you said he really puts what hes feeling into every dance he does because hyunjin is such an emotional person, and besides his fluidity, his emotions are what make him one of my favorite dancers. I agree 100% that Hyunjin's gift is expression. He has said he has trouble expressing his thoughts/feeling in words, so he does it in dance (which is how we got the Billie Eilish choreo). And you can see just how much thought goes into his choreos (see making of AOTM video). His dancing is a gift for STAYs for sure.

In the first place there is no such thing as best dancer or performer many idols are talented and have different style and strength we cant compare between them it just comes down to preference

hyunjin inspires me so much. he worked HARD and continues to do so. he started from having no skills to being able to reach this level of dancing, it's insane to think about. it's almost like he becomes the music in a sense, through his performance you can just feel it
I feel like his way of dancing really reflects on his personality. Hyunjin is a person to go deep into emotions, to feel and understand and be one with it. Just as you said, his dances are similar to this.

It’s so interesting to see where their strengths lie, and I like how Lee Know is more of a dancer’s dancer (one who requires a dance background to fully appreciate) while Hyunjin is more of a performer’s dancer, one who instinctively knows how to capture the audience’s eye and create an interpretation that you feel in your bones. I enjoy watching both styles and get chills from what they are able to bring to a choreography.

I really loved that you explained how Hyunjin's main strength is how he channels emotion through dance. He has a very charismatic style of dancing that expresses music's emotion really well, and I love that you pointed out how he is aware of the camera. BTS V reminds me a lot of Hyunjin's style of dance. They both have that way of drawing you in while watching. Hyunjin's awareness of dynamics and how to express emotion demand attention in all of his performances. He really is an artist.
At the end, you teased the way Hyunjin dances as part of a pair during Red Lights, and now I would LOVE a breakdown of the Red Lights choreography and the Hyunjin and Bangchan live performances. Their styles are quite different, but what they share in common is charisma and powerful facial expressions. The ways they played off each other in the choreography is really interesting.

I really loved this analysis!!!!! and the ending was completely wonderful!!! Hyunjin himself always said that he didn't want to be just a pretty face, he always wanted to be remembered for the hard work and talent he's earned. I loved it.

Hyunjin's dance is what makes him easy to spot on stage. He is so good. His texture, balance and power along with the chill vibe draw me to him the very first time. Especially in Thunderous. How can someone change dynamics from soft to a powerful quick movement. So impressive. His balance alone is impressive.

OMG THIS VIDEO IS SO EXCELLENT!!!! I don't have any dance training so I can never put into words how Hyunjin's swagger in his dance always pulls me in. But you explained it all so well and thoroughly that it all makes so much sense!!! And the whole "understanding the music leading to feeling leading to interpreting" part made me realize that that's why he's so good at freestyling!! I've had the honor of seeing hyunjin dance live and he is absolutely MESMORIZING, I was drawn to him every single time throughout the concert. i love how you said he really puts what hes feeling into every dance he does because hyunjin is such an emotional person, and besides his fluidity, his emotions are what make him one of my favorite dancers.

I agree 100% that Hyunjin's gift is expression. He has said he has trouble expressing his thoughts/feeling in words, so he does it in dance (which is how we got the Billie Eilish choreo). And you can see just how much thought goes into his choreos (see making of AOTM video). His dancing is a gift for STAYs for sure.

Tired that his own fandom puts his technique below that of another main dancer, appealing to the number of years of experience and agreeing only that Hyunjin has great visual expression. He is an amazing performer, but above all he is a dancer with high technical skills. Now Hyunjin is one of the best dancers of his generation and in general in K-pop, with his own unique style.

Omg thanks for this video. U described everything that i wanna pointed out about my hyunjin, but i cant find fit words coz im only a casual fan and dont really understand abt dance techniques. Hyunjin dances with his soul, they way he moves his body is really artistic, he executes moves really beautifully. His charisma is really strong on stage, the way he glares, the way he moves his head, shoulders, legs is really unique. Like u said, hyunjin puts emotion in to his dance. Thank you so much for the explanation 🥺 Hyunjin is indeed already a great dancer and performer, and what's amazing is that he's still trying to make the best out of him. Haters always say that Hyunjin isn't a good dancer, I know he is not the best dancer or performer yet, but he is on the way!!! If you compare Hyunjin's dance in PWF and WTOP, it is evident that HE IMPROVED A LOT. Not only that the way he dance but also how he deliver his emotion. I am so proud of him.

In the first place there is no such thing as best dancer or performer many idols are talented and have different style and strength we cant compare between them it just comes down to preference

Any idol who is excellent at dancing can be called best dancer right? Like we can call any dancer the best dancer or performer without looking down on other dancer. Unless we say this dancer is the best dancer in what group/ among these idols, then I think it is okay to use the term.

hyunjin inspires me so much. he worked HARD and continues to do so. he started from having no skills to being able to reach this level of dancing, it's insane to think about. it's almost like he becomes the music in a sense, through his performance you can just feel it
I feel like his way of dancing really reflects on his personality. Hyunjin is a person to go deep into emotions, to feel and understand and be one with it. Just as you said, his dances are similar to this.
