Dude that's exactly what BR is about, their lyrics talk about the hypocrisy and harmful nature of religion and how it breeds ignorance, they point out the double talk and other problems in politics and touch on certain social matters.
BR provides information to their listeners and leave it up to the members of society to do something about it, can't remember exactly what Greg graffin said but it was something like that. I'm sure you'll find that interview online somewhere

So weird that this album gets ignored by people who like that kind of music at the same time that punk purists detest it as tree-hugging hippie crap due to the style. Oh well, they'll always have punk.

I don't know why this album is the outcast of all their albums. It is my 2nd favorite, after "Suffer."
