China treats it's minorities very well, I know this to be a fact. I lived in Xinjiang and virtually all of our friends that were in mixed marriages would have to choose the ethnic group for the birth certificate of their children, they would always choose to be Uyghur over Han. In China you would have to be nuts to choose Han for your kids and deny them them the many advantages that the minorities enjoyed.
