Rockport residents relieved to be on the outer bands of Hurricane Beryl

Lucky! I’ve been in the Rockport area post-hurricane, several times. There was lots of damage at Key Allegro, with early A frame houses literally exploded from the wind pressure and rattlesnakes in the yards. Another time, our 36 foot wooden cabin cruiser was picked up from dry dock and carried a block down the road by an associated tornado.
