That's not a job. Quite the opposite. It's being a customer. It's unpaid because you aren't doing a job. You're paying professors (and other college staff) for their services. Being a student isn't a job. It's more similar to hiring a trainer to help you get fit. Yes, you are still doing some work, but you're paying for the guidance.
