proud to say i was here for this entire era, shocked to realize that i didn't notice a change until quite recently. there was a big gap between then (2016-2017 ish) and now (2023), but i've been in awe of Trixie's makeup the whole time
It makes me so happy to see Trixie looking this again. It's like when you play a video game from your childhood that you struggled with but you loved it, then you pick it up as an adult and you just breeze through it with even more enjoyment cause you remember it so well.

omfg. i found you during this era and it was crazy. i think i had stockholm syndrome with it for a while but i am a warrior and have been creeped out by the blue contacts from the beginning. its been so awesome to watch your style change and flourish though!

Looking at Trixie now and back then, it is very easy to see why Pearl said 'You are hilarious.'
The hidden beauty of this make up, beside the theatrical aspect, is that her eye shape makes it look like she has a heart in the middle of her face. But yeah the Mastery is here, you can see the difference in the application ❤

I’ve been showing my boyfriend all the drag race seasons in order and when this looked popped up I explained the story how she thought it was so glamorous and everyone thought it was a joke and he went “wait this isn’t a joke I liked it because I thought it was a joke?”

I did theater professionally when I was younger- I followed this routine for when I was Ursula in the little mermaid cause 2015ish makeup was not as drag-inclusive, so my makeup artist showed me your original vid with the blue, but we swapped the concealer for a purple. Literally a life-saver at the time- Seeing you re-create this is so amazing!

Idk, to a detail oriented eye the products and processes are quite different, although the foundational shapes are the same. You might need to be really invested in makeup to really compare
I mean we see her on a camera now. she was doing her look for a runway or stage previously. Toning it down also gave her space to add more detail.
