You did amazingly well filming while shopping! I’ve loved your vlogmas posts and understand how much work they are. Merry Christmas to you and the crew - hope it’s a wonderful and peaceful season for all of you. 😀🌲
❤ to you and your family at Christmas, Nyssa. Your vlogs have been a great way to relax with a coffee and see how other off-grid, homeschooling families do it in Australia. Looking forward to next year and following your family's progress through 2025. You are raw, honest and relatable. I really appreciate that. ❤ from another off-grid family from the Atherton Tablelands, Far North Qld.
Nyssa your break down on how you make sure that you and your family are fed healthy nourishing meals is fascinating. So well thought out 👏👏👏👏👏 Girl you deserve a medal 😊😊 The Darryl presentation flourish is magnificent 😁😁😁 Really enjoyed the whole shopping videos from planning to the shopping share girl I feel exhausted for you so WELL DONE ❤❤❤ As always a pleasure to watch 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
You know, I live in the US, in a major (well, you would recognize the city name) city (but really a big town) in the mid-south of the US. We were never able to have children. We are, however, Anglican (my husband is a priest) and we have 12 chickens (yes, in town) and are keto/carnivores. I have been watching you for years. And while our seasons are opposite - I think they are very similar. We often hit the 90s F in May with high humidity. I'm pretty soft and can't live without A/C. I so enjoy watching your channel. Thank you for going outside your comfort zone for us!
hi ,, don't know what to say just watched you shopping / putting a way hauls, am exhausted just watching you ,, do they know how lucky they are to have you ,,, I know you will feel the lucky 1 , but , you are amazing 😊🙏 hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
Im in perth and it was 40+ today and will be the same tomorrow, this heat is horrible Thanks for all your content this year, wishing you and your family and everyone else who reads this a very merry christmas and a happy new year, Take care everyone be safe ❤️
Nyssa, thanks for all your hard work in bringing these videos to us, they're delightful. Never change your style of presentation- we love it. Wishing you, Daryl & the children a very happy Christmas xx P.S. You are a good daughter getting the spray before your mum arrives! I would be a bit concerned re extra wildllife (& I don't mean Lambington!) & it's lovely that you are thoughtful about her visiting
I enjoy the hand sweep too with effort to educate your son on proper flurish 😊 Nyssa, you are doing a great job with the videos! You are appearing more relaxed and I love the side comments squirreling and it is what is. I use that often. Many blessings. Debra
Well done Nyssa, I am sure you are going to love the Noshu and Carmen bars they are delicious but small... A fantastic haul, I truly don't know how you do it so hats off to you 🦸♀️....I have so much enjoyed watching you everyday... Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄. ..
Well done getting all that packed and home. Then to unpack and store. My my. What a tremendous effort. Hope you had a restful night and easier first morning back to recoup. I showed son your tables of food to have him say he has been watching people eat food on the internet to get interested in eating as he can’t eat at the moment. lol.
Cream freezes really well. In the 17:40 are in or in smaller portions. Use ice cube trays. Then you can just take one cube to put straight into your coffee. It doesn't whip really good after freezing, though. Thank for these Christmas videos. And may I say; you are looking fantastic! Merry Christmas to you and your family from Denmark 🇩🇰
@OurSmallFootprint freeze the cream in cubes. Pop it out and store them flat in bags. It will take up less space in freezer that way. Cream is a nice versatile ingredient to have.
I know it isn't sustainable, but I must say I have really enjoyed your daily vlogs. The shopping trips are always fascinating, partly from an organizational view and partly because even though I miss my children, seeing what you buy to feed yours makes me thankful to be an empty nester. Shame on me---Anyway, thanks for the massive effort.
I watch, listen and wish i could do even a month without shopping. Central qld here and no close really good stores where bulk buying is consistant. I do some of the same things and should really get stuff moving more on the home made front but time is not giving. Great video!
It's so interesting to see even the small differences between the groceries we have available. Our pop (soda) in Canada comes in boxes of 12, not 10. And I have never heard of chicken salt!! Thanks for another fun video. :)
What a delicious stock up of fruit. Lychees here are $15 kg from the farmer. Mangoes $2. My rolled pork was $14.99kg of $49.29. The pork and ham products are processed by the butcher who sells them so they are quality product. I bought that chocolate sauce at xmas one year but silly me stored it in the fridge. We had a good laugh about it. You and your family are going to have a great feast for xmas.
Another great video! If I have whipping cream that I want to freeze I freeze them in pucks in a silicone muffin mold and they pop right out and then I put them in a freezer bag. If I want bigger sizes I freeze it in plastic containers.
El I've enjoyed this month. You seem to have, as well! The price on Wagyu roasts was excellent? That is a better price per pound than conventional, grocery store beef in my last of the US!
Great shop! We have the costco chicken nibbles too, sometimes it's nice when carnivore to eat a few with half a steak amd a chaffle of you want some variety.
Have you guys considered buying a small dual cab truck instead of a ute? It might be easier to transport things on these hauls... I know they aren't cheap though
We had planned to enclose the trailer so that it is a mobile cold room, that's the long term plan hehe, but it just hasn't happened yet! :D. We don't have the funds for another vehicle and probably won't for a while unfortunately.
Hello freeze ur berries an strawberrys too an theyr like ice cubes in ur drinks an don't water them down even in water it's refreshing to drink frozen fruit when it's hot an humid out. ❤
Heeheehee that's funny how u call the fake "seafood - extender" we call it crab meat . But there is no crab meat in it. It's just a fish sticks. But it does make a good seafood salad. It would b yummy on ur bread rolls u make for a lunch or supper in the warmer weather.❤🎉😂
I didnt enjoy the Noshu or Carmen bars at all. I do however make a bar myself from unsalted pork rinds (broken into small pieces), macadamia nuts, and I mix together no sugar chocolate melts (melted) and a jar of any nut butter which forms a nice fudgy type of candy to pour over them. I also find that all the keto products in the supermarket and health shops are extremely expensive. Searching the we will reward you with some amazing channels that will show you how to make yourself :D
@ I tune them out now, probably because I am used to them being in country QLD myself. We all will surely miss your daily vlogs! But we know it’s too hard to keep them up.
Well done Nysa Did u get the smeg knife sets they are made in Germany 🇩🇪 u get so many per shop depends on. How much u spend I’m collecting them for my boys for when they leave home eventually it will save them money and I get them for free Free is good for a good quality item
Hi Nyssa - I am in Brisbane and am looking at joining Costco, but it is almost impossible to find prices to judge whether the membership will be offset. Could you please tell me how much the Kirkland Grass-fed butter is?
Many thanks - it is wonderful to see an Australian bulk buy/preserving channel - so tired of making the conversions from US measurements/names/products. Not that they aren't amazingly informative, but it's easier watching someone who is more relatable. You're doing a fantastic job!
So jealous of the price of most of your produce from NZ... I love you yardstick for measuring price. I think going into 2025 I am going to do the same. We are only a family of 4 but am thinking $4 per person per day. To include cleaners and pet food that is from supermarket (their dry is online) thats $336 a week which is a lot less than I currently seem to spend!
I think just being mindful is key, so if you have a number you are trying to stay around, that helps you to think when you are purchasing and assess :)
What I've noticed is that when you first started doing these videos you had said that people make comments, nasty comments, and you had tough skin and it doesn't bother you. Lately, you're apologizing left and right for how your property or kitchen looks. Block those people. They don't live there. Most of us regulars enjoy seeing it. Stop letting it bother you so much that you have to mention it every video. I love to see how different other people live.
I'm still in the same 10kg range I always am, the low end of it, but still within the same 10kg I've weighed for the last 20 years :). So maybe I drop down out of it next weigh in.
I did, but I'm still in that 10kg window I always am, at the lower end of it, but still in the same window I have been for the last 20 years, so we'll see what another 8 weeks does, maybe I'll drop lower :)
I went and gave her some love after filming, cleaned her water trough and hand fed her some pellets and gave her a fresh leaf of lucerne :D. She's just very vocal when we're around :)
Nyssa, please tell Darryl how much fun his hand sweep is, such a silly thing but we all need reasons to smile these days. Blessings Cindi
Darrell reminds me of Vanna White from wheel of fortune... Heeheehee hey I'm sure he works hard helping set everything up too they All done did ❤😂
❤ I lol 😂 every time
Oh how I wish we could continue these vlogs! I look so forward to them. I actually saved yesterday’s and watched to together!
Nyssa, I am already sad we are near the end of the month lol I love these daily vlogs soooooo much!

I got as long dated as I could because I am using all my silicone atm to freeze fruit lol!
Thank you! :D

I enjoy watching and listening to talk
You are doing such a great job!!!!! Merry Christmas
Oh my awesome grocery haul 💯 can't wait to see what you cook up Happy Holidays 🎄☃️🥳🥂
That is so much work for you. I had a hard time shopping for 3.

Chicken salt is Australian but it's becoming more "famous" around the world lol
Wow .. the fruit you need to process, such good prices
Lots of work in this heat!
What a delicious stock up of fruit. Lychees here are $15 kg from the farmer. Mangoes $2.

Yes I enjoy turkey for a change

Logged it!!❤❤🙏🙏xxoo🎄🎄
Where do you store all this food especially when it is so warm, can you show us?
Thanks for a great video ❤🇸🇪
Great shop! We have the costco chicken nibbles too, sometimes it's nice when carnivore to eat a few with half a steak amd a chaffle of you want some variety.
Yeah, I decided the dollar value was worth it just for an added something :D
Haha we have 3 feet of snow here in Ontario Canada
I love purckle , i also do octopus surveys, better pay per survey
Have you guys considered buying a small dual cab truck instead of a ute? It might be easier to transport things on these hauls... I know they aren't cheap though

Its super tasty, hehe, and yeah, mostly just a high percentage of fish in a different kind of a texture :D
Look for fly strips for the bugs an flies u can hang them in corners where nobody walks or stands they work good even outside.❤

The cicadas sound like white noise. 😂
They do, i actually paused it to check! that it was the cicadas!
@ I tune them out now, probably because I am used to them being in country QLD myself. We all will surely miss your daily vlogs! But we know it’s too hard to keep them up.
@@Kazacks9602 Yeah, I didn't hear them while I was filming, it wasn't until I edited that I did!
Do your kids ever go to Brisbane with you and see your Mum, or go to the beach with you? That'd be fun.
How could she possibly take kids to the beach with the amount of work she has to do whilst in Brisbane? Jeez…
When the kids run out of something or request an item do they just verbally tell you or do you have a running sheet they fill in before you go?
I normally have a notes file on my phone that I then convert to my proper planning before I go :)
Well done Nysa
Did u get the smeg knife sets they are made in Germany 🇩🇪 u get so many per shop depends on. How much u spend I’m collecting them for my boys for when they leave home eventually it will save them money and I get them for free
Free is good for a good quality item
I actually forgot! I have about 45 credits, and I meant to go back and forgot :S
Hi Nyssa - I am in Brisbane and am looking at joining Costco, but it is almost impossible to find prices to judge whether the membership will be offset. Could you please tell me how much the Kirkland Grass-fed butter is?
10.99 for 3 x 320g I think it is blocks, I'm sure its just under a kg :)
Many thanks - it is wonderful to see an Australian bulk buy/preserving channel - so tired of making the conversions from US measurements/names/products. Not that they aren't amazingly informative, but it's easier watching someone who is more relatable. You're doing a fantastic job!

Ok Nyssa you promised to weigh and tell the results! We can see you have lost weigh. So spill the beans!!
I'm still in the same 10kg range I always am, the low end of it, but still within the same 10kg I've weighed for the last 20 years :). So maybe I drop down out of it next weigh in.
I have definitely noticed a difference in size...weightloss doesn't tell the whole story. 😊
Cottage cheese lol
I actually have some left, I discovered chaffles and we just haven't used it as much!
So did you weigh yourself when you went to your mum's? I think you look like you have lost weight.
I did, but I'm still in that 10kg window I always am, at the lower end of it, but still in the same window I have been for the last 20 years, so we'll see what another 8 weeks does, maybe I'll drop lower :)
Lambington is desperately trying to get your attention
I went and gave her some love after filming, cleaned her water trough and hand fed her some pellets and gave her a fresh leaf of lucerne :D. She's just very vocal when we're around :)
I forgot i think ur mum drinks sam😅e coffee as me lol tried to see it 😅
hehe, she has the caramel and plain sachets, one of each in a big mug :)
@OurSmallFootprint yummy. Right now I'm addicted to nescafe blonde expresso.. I usally have to big cups lol 😆
Merry Christmas
