It's the main villain of Crowe's story arc... But his debt has been proven to be very useful. After all, thanks to the Coin Drop System, he practically has no side effects to activating his Sphere due his Will of paying the debt. And wouldn't you know it, that actually increases the debt! I'd say Crowe's debt is both his greatest ally and his sworn enemy.
It's the one thing that makes his life feels like a living hell, yet also one that keeps his sanity in check when using ungodly powers, & adamantly refuses to let him die…
Actually the CDS uses actual coins dropping since Crowe can, for good or bad, differentiate between "fake" coin and real coin dropping as explained when Duo and the others attempt to trick Crowe in the game.
The CDS was invented because Crowe's sphere had awakened and ended up leading to Esther taking a hit for him since he was the real target to be DMified. Before the stage begins Traiya and Esther talk to Crowe and noticed his uncanny ability to hear a coin dropping and telling the difference between a real coin and a fake. This gives Traiya the idea for the expensive CDS to help Crowe control his Sphere. After activating it he makes an oath to stop ZONE and take care of Esther from there on after
Crowe is in debt again at the end of Saisei-hen. He paid off his old debt, with Esther being happy for him, but Traiya reveals he has a new debt - The cost of the CDS system and that it uses a large sum of money everytime it activates. Esther is overjoyed, naturally, since it means Crowe can't go on vacation for awhile and will spend more time working with her, just the two of them. Crowe, of course, nearly has a heart attack over the debt that he doesn't even troll Esther over her love for him.
Compared to Rand, Setsuko, and Uther... Crowe lucked out. Sure losing Esther was jarring for him, and was the main reason he took the fight against Arksabers so personally to the point of being reckless, but he managed to get her back. Though she's not 100% Human but more Super Human by her stat jump and Brasta Es power up. It's mentioned she's infected still, it's just not active at the moment. The worse thing of his sphere is the CDS putting him back in debt after he pays it off.
SPIGOTs are the ring things used in some of his attacks, VX was a codename given by Carlos to the Libra Sphere, the Coin Drop System is something to keep Crowe from getting unbalanced and going berserk.
The best MC in Z series alongside Rand and probably one of the best in the entire franchise. Sadly, the Brastas are kinda underwhelming for a protag MC. It's like they're holding back Librasta's and Crowe's power by giving it an unfinished looking Librasta Trial. Here's hoping that we're gonna see a true upgrade to R, B and T in OG or heck, X-Omega
At that time Marilyn was the surperior pilot and Crowe didn't stand a chance against her and her Firebug unit that aws completely devoted to her. By z2.2 Crowe has his own Mecha and his skills have greatly improved thanks to his Sphere starting to awaken and his time fighting in z2.1. That and he had a young Esther to get to safety, he was already at a disadvantage. Fighting with a traumatized Esther with him may as well be a death wish against Marilyn who was a very skilled pilot.
Nah, it's because the Brasta was traveling at high speed (to save Esther) and the wind from the speed knocked over a truck, and caused a ripple effect. Crowe (to first guy asking): I will take responsibility. First guy: Wow, what a great person! Everybody, you can come out! XD
Crowe isn't really that old, he's only a few years older than Esther. He was a young Firebug member when he met a teenage Esther and left the unit instead of killing her despite his orders. Crowe never explains why Esther was the one that was able to open his eyes and stopped him from doing the horrifying things under Firebug. Than he meets her years later, doesn't remember her right away, but feels a big enough connection to promise to deal with MD for her and accidently starts calling her cute
I know that Traiya said that anyone can pilot Brasta but Crowe, being a true man, goes with that only people who are naturals, trained pilots or chosen by Brasta can pilot Brasta
Traiya says anyone could move the Brasta, it was a lie and Crowe knew it. Traiya also started seeing Esther as a "Little Sister" and bonded well with her. She didn't want Esther to end up as a pilot since it was very dangerous but she couldn't say no after Esther showed how determined she was. Esther being DMified was horrifying for both Traiya and Crowe with Traiya spending most of the game trying to find ways to restore Ester or help Crowe bring Esther back even with no hope in sight.
While Crowe mentions that life in the firebug was a "Living hell" and that Marilyn was great at teaching but her tactics and regiments were horrifying and nearly killed him more than once. Not to mention all the "Cover ups" he had to participated in on top of his drinking habit that it's no surprise that life hit him hard and he ended up looking much older than he really is.
Good point. Crowe is lucky that he has a way of breaking free of the sphere's negative effect..but it costs a lot. Though Rand got the typical one: Pain is Power
It's cause Esther got Jigenjuufied that the CDS needed to be built cause Crowe's sphere's negative aspect kicked in: He became focused one killing the old bitch who turned Esther into a Jigenjuu, and Crowe would kill anyone in his way...if it wasn't for the timely arrival of Rand, Mail and Gun-Gun-Gunleon, Gunleon
Esther is 18 in z2.2, she just looks young because of her traumatizing past and being a work out freak. Crowe hates Marilyn. She may have taught him everything he knows about piloting but the training he had to do was a "Living Hell" and the things she had him do in Firebug were downright horrifying. He even came to accept his orders untill he met Esther after the "Accident" and couldn't bring himself to kill her. Instead he abandoned Firebug which earned Marilyns hate for him and later Esther.
As for why Crowe looks so old compared to Esther it's simple. Esther has grown very slowly and despairs over her more boyish and athletic figure. Most likely due her tragic past that heavily tramutized her and fostered her hatred of DMs so much that she spent her youth learning about them and later learning to pilot at a very young age. Traiya says anyone can make the Brasta move but Crowe sums up that Esther is a natural and has the determination, thus should be allowed to train to pilot.
He was out of debt at the end of Hakai-hen, but in the stage where Marilyn first appears they spring some ham-fisted plot device to shoulder him with more debt (the peasants of Rimonesia demand he pay to reconstruct their country for some/no reason.) And his old loan shark just happened to be vacationing there! WHO'DA THUNK IT?
You got it wrong. Crowe gets in debt again in stage 15 because his Brasta ends up causing so much damage by rushing over to Esther's aid at ridiculous speeds. It isn't ham-fisted at all and is very plausible. Though the Brasta shouldn't have been able to go that fast with its current specs without straining the machine and causing Crowe health issues. Needless to say, his badassery forced him to make the Brasta go faster to rain on Marilyn's parade and save Esther.
That's false. He clears up his debt but gets another 1,000,000g debt at the end of the game because the CDS is expensive and uses 1,000g everytime it activates. He ends up being forced to stay on the job though Esther tries to cheer him up while he's having a panick attack.
To be fair, when Z2 was first announced and we didn't know about Crowe's Sphere or the connection to Libra, Blaster sounded more likely than Brasta. Not that I'm disagreeing with you, of course.
As soon as he's cleared of his debts, like 0 balance, he went doing some shit somewhere which, inadvertently, caused serious collateral damage… & thus began his days of clearing debts again…
I bet Marguerite was happy that she could spend more time with Crowe...wait, does she stay with Crowe and the others or does she leave? I know that Esther considers Marguerite her rival cause Marguerite gets the rival bonus when next to Esther
I just dunno. Fin Funnel is fucking OP meanwhile I upgrade mainly Li Brasta B. There are more Gundams for me to deal with, and everytime, fucking Fin Funnel deal most damage (raeg)
Z2's 10 year BDay !!!
Some how, this theme increased Crowe's debt.
DEBT INTENSIFIES
prinnydood
Clearly he's Greek.
How fitting, his debt is indeed the Swaying Scales, balancing between being an obstacle and an advantage.
The title refers to his debt.

the unbreakable "debt" fulcrum!
I actually haven't heard a song this good in a while.
Actually the CDS uses actual coins dropping since Crowe can, for good or bad, differentiate between "fake" coin and real coin dropping as explained when Duo and the others attempt to trick Crowe in the game.

The Unbreakable Debt.
Unbreakable Fulcrm, dont break my will!!
His debt is literally Unbreakable, so much that its practically the main villain
Crowe is in debt again at the end of Saisei-hen. He paid off his old debt, with Esther being happy for him, but Traiya reveals he has a new debt - The cost of the CDS system and that it uses a large sum of money everytime it activates. I gotta say, Banpresto sure knows when they have a fan-favorite on their hands. Compared to his theme in Haikei-hen, this one's... awesome.
Compared to Rand, Setsuko, and Uther... Crowe lucked out. Sure losing Esther was jarring for him, and was the main reason he took the fight against Arksabers so personally to the point of being reckless, but he managed to get her back. GENIUS
You know, debt might as well be the MC of SRWZ2 at this point xD
THE REBLASTER
He blasts you, and then blasts you again if you somehow find yourself un-blasted.
The best MC in Z series alongside Rand and probably one of the best in the entire franchise. Sadly, the Brastas are kinda underwhelming for a protag MC. @Santiago Scarpino or maybe have banpreios and Valcazard appear
Imagine the SRX destruction is happening on a stage where Jakarta as the location
At that time Marilyn was the surperior pilot and Crowe didn't stand a chance against her and her Firebug unit that aws completely devoted to her. So I looked up this guy's mech and attacks, and now I want the power of SPIGOT!!!
Crowe may be awesome but he still can't get out of debt...JUST LIKE THE UNITED STATES!
Closer than a Zero Range... it's a Minus Range Attack.
That guitar intro...
Li-Blaster R: Punches through Hundreds of enemy units just to land a hit on the one you targeted.
Thank you very much good sir!
Unbreakable huh?
Esther: Challenge accepted!
Nah, it's because the Brasta was traveling at high speed (to save Esther) and the wind from the speed knocked over a truck, and caused a ripple effect.
Crowe (to first guy asking): I will take responsibility.
First guy: Wow, what a great person! Everybody, you can come out!

Yeah, he's unbreakable and by unbreakable i mean his debt
I know that Traiya said that anyone can pilot Brasta but Crowe, being a true man, goes with that only people who are naturals, trained pilots or chosen by Brasta can pilot Brasta
Debt is very relatable rn
Traiya says anyone could move the Brasta, it was a lie and Crowe knew it. Traiya also started seeing Esther as a "Little Sister" and bonded well with her. She didn't want Esther to end up as a pilot since it was very dangerous but she couldn't say no after Esther showed how determined she was. Yep, considering Crowe's sphere is "Swaying Scales": Libra.
The only theme in super robot Taisen that cost money to compose.. poor Crow
SPIGOTS are just a tool/weapon, the power is from the VX unit (the Libra Sphere.)
Crowe: I'll show you, Carlos! The complete VX!
(My rough translation) :)
Crowe: "RISK MY LIFE"!!!!
-when he fights the Knight of Knights.
As for why Crowe looks so old compared to Esther it's simple. Esther has grown very slowly and despairs over her more boyish and athletic figure. Everyone screws up sometimes... and then they redeem themselves. I say Crowe more than makes up for Mist's failings.
now that you mention it... Li Brasta B looks like the Black Ace Noise from Megaman Starforce, and Li Brasta R looks like Red o.o
The Unbreakable Debt
Ya gotta hand it to Banpresto. Cause if there's one thing they do exceedingly well it's create good OG Characters and Mechs.
I'm with you dude
Although Rand's one is "planned" to be activated in different manner
Hint : Gunleon can repair
The theme is full of Debt
Until the end of Z2.2 when the debt is cleared cause the other stages clear away extra debts but Stage 60 clears away the remaining 1,000,000G
Unbreakable(debt)
Li Blaster B might be more to your liking, looks like the more natural upgrade.
TROMBE Approves :D
RISK AWF MY RAIFU!!!!
good
That horrible, horrible moment when one must realize when to agree with the villain. Ah well, 'least it's not Ribbons.
It's because during the battle, he trashed some of their stuff.
But honestly, there's no reason why they can't recycle the same coin.
Crowe or Hibiki, who more badass protagonist srw z series?
Why. Not. Both ?
Yeah, he ruined a million spacebucks worth of their barren crater.
Ah...Still would've preferred Crowe and Marguerite together cause I always saw Crowe and Esther as a sort of Father-Daughter relationship
How the fuck does one save the world and not get cleared of debt? Is it because his mechs are expensive to make?
Rose Beowulve he causes a lot of damage to the surroundings and the use of the CDS costs actual money each time.
As soon as he's cleared of his debts, like 0 balance, he went doing some shit somewhere which, inadvertently, caused serious collateral damage… & thus began his days of clearing debts again…
Poor Rex, he is a good character (forgoting the horrible background story he has) and Solvirias Rex is a great Mecha (Shinin´ Heart FTW!!!)
There is one thing I don't understand. Why didn't Crowe kill Marilyn when he had the chance before he left Firebugs
how much did this theme cost... Crow
Especially Mist Rex, right? :P
Theme Upgrade!
Ah. Thanks for clearing that up, I cannot read kanji
I bet Marguerite was happy that she could spend more time with Crowe...wait, does she stay with Crowe and the others or does she leave? I know that Esther considers Marguerite her rival cause Marguerite gets the rival bonus when next to Esther
IMO, Traiya was lying lol. It's just an mp3 player that monitors Crowe's mental state...why is it so expensive 0_o
Because Debt is the real Big Bad of Z2
Deal with it
Someone care and explain the terminologies of this mech? SPIGOT? VX? CDS? and whatever I´m missing that is important
Directed by M.Night Shyamalanalanalonlylong.
I can't really say seeing as I've never actually played K, although Mist does seem to come up a bit when I browse /m/. Why do people hate him again?
Wait...what about at the end of Saisei-hen
It didnt cost money.... only Debt
My english isnt so good so i will say you to search "tv tropes rex mist" in google and enter in the first or seccond link :D
Don't you just hate the negative aspects of the spheres?
likes 1000000
If I may correct the title, the mech name is Li-Brasta
You know, LI-BRAsta
LI-BLAster just sounds silly.
Li Brasta R for me
I up everything :{
(Goddamn, my PSP is bricked while upgrading new cfw, :{ )
I just dunno. Fin Funnel is fucking OP meanwhile I upgrade mainly Li Brasta B. There are more Gundams for me to deal with, and everytime, fucking Fin Funnel deal most damage (raeg)
Haha :))
Fin Funnel is fucking OP :|
