Neoplasias of the appendix may be rare, but it is important to know them. Often young patients are affected; the classification indicates the risk of progression and determines the stage-specific therapy.

For patients with high PCI score ( >24 ) unsuitable for HIPEC the newer modality PIPAC ( pressurized intra peritoneal aerosol chemo) on the same principle as HIPAC has shown some promise and can be repeated once or twice post-operatively.
What is your opinion for a NET found in a perforated appendix? Is appendectomy enough if perforation has occurred?
I have read your question here and under another video. I am not a doctor, but my partner has the same problem. Today she made PET CT., because perforation occured and another NET was removed in the Ileum.

@@katherinestrotman1162 sorry for late response. after PET CT it is still not clear, which tumor is the primary one. other spots in lung and between uterus - rectum occured.
