Ngl, I'm excited for some D&D lego. Since Baldurs gate 3 it's became my new Bionicle. Imagine not just creating Dice boards out of lego but what if your RP character wasn't just a D&D Minifigure, but one using parts from the rest of lego to help your character stand out? Lego and D&D are about creating your own worlds, stories and characters. They go hand in hand perfectly! In fact imagine if they brought back that lego papercraft set but instead you make your own D&D Lego Bag for your dice! Using studs to seal it, a sheet of paper becomes the bag! Throw in a stand for your character to be on the front and it'll sell easy!
This is gonna be the 1st time I buy a series pack since id be happy with any of these figs for a fantasy theme. Be amazing if this leads to more D&D sets if there is enough stuff to recreate the BG3 characters.
I wouldn't hold your breath for a price drop on CMFs. Lego leaks about upcoming sets can be very reliable because they have to be prepared very far in advance, involving thousands of people in multiple countries. But retail price is something that can be held secret among far fewer people, and also changed much later in the process. If this price drop is based on a single rumor from a single source, I'd bet against it being true.
Warforged are one of the closest things to bionicle imaginable. So warforged. Bone devil's would be cool. If they're already making dragon parts for ninjago why not give them to us in metalic. Displacer beast mold aswell as recolors of existing animals including fantasy ones because druids. Goats aren't exactly the poster child of d&d but they already have the mold. Honestly most of it may just be similar to chima but vaguely Victorian clothing. Atleast if its sticking to 5e. Spell effects might be the most impactfull there's alot of room for wall of fire, force cage, rain of blades. And you and i can't possibly fathom what strange new colors hotdogs may come in or for what eldritch purpose they will be used. Then ozozes and and gelatinous cubes. Bugbear for thanos head sized facial hair. They don't need to make caltrops because legos already function as caltrops.
I think this could be a series 1 of D&D and possibly a yearly set for a few years 🤔 it could even be based on the movie too, it will be very interesting.
I'm so excited to get this collection, usually I don't collect all minifigs, I just get the ones that interest me, but as a Dungeon master, I NEED this DnD collection 😂
The D&D CMF Series being $4 makes sense when you consider the market for D&D itself. The Market will tend to keep prices pretty cheap on a majority of D&D Merchandise, because the idea of scalping and overinflating isn't really welcomed in the community. It's why the D&D Magic the Gathering cards didn't sell to the MTG community's standards, because they couldn't make the money they wanted to. And yeah, that is a warning to anyone who plans on reselling any of the figures for a huge markup, you're going to find you're just not going to make any money. Because for every marked up Lego figure, there's someone on the D&D market selling that same minifigure for only $5-6. Believe me, you should've seen the slaughter when people tried to scalp the Dice transforming toys Hasbro put out almost a year ago. I am incredibly excited for these figures, and knowing how minifigures are used as cheap miniatures for D&D, they're going to be well loved, for sure.
I didn't really get into Dungeons& dragons until I was in my late 30s! And then COVID happened and I lost track of my D&D buddies. I need to find a new group to join. But, in the meantime, I'm very excited about the Legos! It was definitely a fun time
I will state that they are not selling as before. A fact that I think people don’t realize is Walmart Did Not sell the last series 25 in the 6 pack. Only individual and not much at that. You can get both at Target all day long and series 24 still available. At $4.00 will be better served and in line with Europe.
This is actually really cool, because while D&D is a licensed theme, it’s not one with very many set in stone characters or designs, so Lego can really make their own take on these characters
If they really do this, I want 2 things: as many torsos as possible to be skinless - so I can add yellow heads to them and yellow elf ear / hair combos that you can actually buy (at decent prices). If they do this, paint me happy with CMF medieval figs
What would be awesome is if they had a full blank character sheet that looks like Leg( make each blank box and bars a brick) on the back of the instruction manual
I love making LEGO armies and factions. I am very excited about these d&d cmf. I wonder if their mind flayer will be better than the merfolk mind flayer I made with the octopus drummer head from video and the purple mermaid tail from video series 2 figs.
Hi, Netrus! I've supported your lego ideas entry. But won't the appearance of DnD minifigures reduce your chances of having your entry chosen by lego? After all, you made it for the same group of tabletop RPG fans that the DuckBricks announced series of minifigures will refer to. :/
@@KarwinDzungliKrol It still has less than 1k votes and there's over year left for it to find supporters. Even if some miracle will happen and a random UA-camr with 10mln subs will find my project and promote it, letting it reach 10k today, it would take over one year for LEGO to turn it into a real set so D&D minifigs will be already gone :p The problem would be if LEGO will announce a series inspired by Warhammer character packs. But probability of such event is really small. So I feel calm about the future of my MOC ^^ And thanks for support, bro ;)
Considering when I started buying CMF’s in 2010 for 2.99 it was kinda worth it. But 68% increase in 14 years was a plain RIPPPPPPP OFFFFFF........ A Shame...
SO FREAKING RAD! I was a bit worried that the only thing from the D&D partnership would be the massive castle set, hearing that they're making a cmf line is truly amazing. I wonder how dark they'll end up being? Evil things in D&D are usually very, very, evil.
I'd love to see a Dragonlance series in the future! Not a fan of Warhammer 40K as such, but a 40K series would be huge. I know this will never happen, but I'd actually die if they did a Guild Wars 2 series...... even sets.. they could do the Elder Dragons, The Grove, Rata Sum, soooooo much scope!
First the space series and now this! The boxes really didn't work for absolute random minifigs, but knowing the general theme is a really smart move by Lego. e.g. Space, Castle
I wish the price would go down in Europe as well, Lego is going to make me broke this year with all these amazing medieval stuff. Blicklink Mountain Fortress 340€, Medieval Towncenter 230€ , D&D 360€, new minifig series will cost me around 100€ again if I want the best ones twice and so on xd And I was actually saving money for the Rivendell set :/ how on earth can one afford all that.
This is nice and all, but I wished Lego would at some point give us a CMF wave with…well…their own actual Lego Castle minifigs/Classic Space/etc and not do quite so much licensed stuff. LOTR and HP have already eaten up a lot of the space Classic Castle once occupied, and now that we’re finally getting new Castle stuff, I wish we didn’t get quite so much overlap with a licensed theme. Still, I’m sure it’ll have its audiences and the parts could be very good for MOCing. I know pop culture stuff sells and it helps Lego stay afloat, so do what you gotta do, but I miss the presence of original Lego themes at retail (that are actually affordable) and also just kind of feel burnt out with the whole “Pop culture!” boom of the late 2010s.
Like it or not but Gen X'ers are the ones with the money to spend on toys (sorry, adult collectibles, lol) and they're yearning for a hit of childhood nostalgia that licensed IPs gives them. I know because I'm a Gen X'er willing to spend money on said IP licensed Lego.
"it's not the kind of IP with distinctly recognizable characters?" Maybe not particular individuals, but I think most people watching this video would recognize the Mind Flayer. 🤨
I am in for DND CMF! Collectable Minifigs should go cheaper in my opinion, yes I understand inflation and all but I mean come on, here in Canada paying 6-7$ for on mini figure is ridiculous. Not only that but considering how 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day and, in Canada, (am Canadian) how almost 1/5 canadians at at risk of not being able to buy food, here i am a lil more privileged and thank God, but would rather donate to food bank for 6$ and then wait a couple of months on Facebook Marketplace for resellers to sell the minifigs for 2$. Not only that but also with all the theft, making them more affordable might help curb with that but that remains to be seen
We do it for one of my campaigns. We don't build any actual buildings, but the PCs are all lego, along with mounts, any companion animals, and accessories. It honestly works pretty well, cause you can more accurately position characters onto mounts, into carts/boats, and we can use transparent columns to represent flying. Everything just clicks into place. It works best if you already have a lot of pieces, animals, and figures, though, and even then it can still be a bit expensive.
If this minifig line are legit, at least this makes my roommate-who was disappointed with the winning Ideas build, as it was “too generic”-will be happy!
Didn't lego already have there own DnD in lego heroica? Why not bring Heroica back and not waste money on licencing. Plus dnd is through some not good stuff ATM. Im probably the only one that doesn't want this because Heroica is RIGHT THERE!! Stop with the licensed stuff.
Eh? Star Wars licensing is literally what saved Lego from the brink of bankruptcy after Bionicle stopped being their cash cow. Star Wars and other licensed properties (like Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter, and Minecraft) have consistently earned money for Lego and hopefully it'll be the same with Dungeon & Dragons. No one these days knows or cares about Heroica, unfortunately, and I believe that sub theme was a financial disappointment for Lego to boot. Like it or not, Lego thrives on licensing recognizable and popular IPs like with Sonic the Hedgehog, Animal Crossing, Peppa Pig, and it's rumored that Fortnite will be next.
I think a lower price for CMFs is credible, given the shift to blind boxes may be hurting sales. CMFs were always supposed to be a cheap, fun discretionary purchase, and recent price rises have under cut this core concept. Hope the rumours are true.
We have a minifig list!!
1. Tiefling Sorcerer with Baby Red Dragon
2. Golden Dragonborn Paladin with Shield
3. Tasha the Witch Queen with Cauldron
4. White Aarakocra Ranger with Dog
5. Mindflayer with Intellect Devourer
6. Female Dward Barbarian with Axe

8. Githyanki Warlock with Knife
9. Half Elf Druid with Bird
10. Halfling Bard with Lute
11. Lady of Pain with Cube
12. Szass Tam with Skull
Awesome!
Where’s Vecna? Shame shame. Sounds like a good line up tho.
I was just about to comment saying the witch should be Tasha.
Rather a build than a minifigure, but imagine a Lego Gelatinous Cube 😂
Where is Drizz'zt the ranger?
I hope the lower price will not mean lower amount of detail
I don't think that the price is going down I think that was a mistake by the leaker at the time.
all of them have custom prints and or custom molds
I hope so too 😢

Ive been making my DND minis out of LEGO for years. There's even a subreddit based on the practice r/legodnd
TBH it might've been the Euro price, since in The Netherlands atleast we pay about € 3,99 for the CMF's for a while now
That's true I thought the same thing! Groetjes van uw buren
This is honestly going to be the first CMF where I collect ALLLL of the minis! I'm beyond excited for this!
Same But hope they don't go out of stock in 10 minutes lol
We are entering the golden era of Lego once again.
@0:25 - incorrect, they were $1.99 apiece for the first two series. Then $2.99 for Series 3 - 10.
That’s right! They started even cheaper than $3, dang
I remember scouring Target, trying to identify 2 full sets. But yes, $1.99 was a great price.
Price of the leak was in euros, and their CMF's have always been priced around 3.99
Correct it is still $5 here in the US.
Hopefully the QR codes continue into this series.

In germany the normal cmf are 3,99€. The licensed ones are at 4,99€
Are complete minifigure sets ever officially available? Or do you have to go secondary market to get a complete set without blind bags?
I think it's always blind bags But some of them should mix Pieces. together well
I NEED THAT DRAGON HEAD MOLD!!!!!!!!!!
same
I love to see Lego do HeroQuest sets and minifigures.
Crikey i’m gonna be buying the crap out of this! 😭

Flesh tones. But the Githyanki is yellow.

The so called witch will more likely be a Hag.
Most likely characters would be the likes of Drizzt Do'Urden and Elminster.
