Perth Mint Unboxing Series | The Phantom 2023 2oz Silver Antiqued Coloured Coin

The Phantom, sworn to the destruction of piracy, greed, cruelty and injustice, was created by Lee Falk in 1936. Seemingly immortal, having been around since 1536, he is in fact the 21st member of a crime-fighting dynasty who all adopt the same costumed-persona.
Struck from 2oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The coin portrays a coloured image of The Phantom, the inscriptions ‘THE PHANTOM’ and ‘THE GHOST WHO WALKS’, and a background representing Skull Cave. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The coin’s obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, supplemented with the dates of her reign, and the weight, purity, monetary denomination and year-date.
No more than 2,000 of The Phantom 2023 2oz Silver Antiqued Coloured Coin will be released.
