We believe that this serial range of tenors has some of the best playing Selmer Mark VI tenors that were ever made with this particular tenor being no exception. It came to us in need of a full restoration. The previous re-lacquering job on this horn was flaking off visually not up to par. This Tenor was American Engraved and has the matching serial number on the neck and body tube ensuring complete originality! It received the well needed full overhaul and lacquer strip from our shop and now it is playing as it should. There is no major denting in the bottom bow rooster area and the neck is free from pull down and other signs of damage. This tenor was fitted with precision USA pads and seamless dome metal resonators. This tenor needs nothing and is playing at its very best! I once played an 88xxx mark6 side by side to my 93xxx , the sound was nearly identical. Sometimes these high prices are not reasonable. I believe to 90% its the player. Just look up Marius Neset. He plays on the infamous mark 7 , just because he prefers it over the mark 6 .
