  • "This is a song about the story of my great grandfather. He was originally from Ukraine and was forced to work at this one section of the Russian Red Army's navy. He was one of the over 5000 who fled to Finland in 1921 after a failed rebellion in Kronstadt, where they demanded freedom of speech, the restoration of civil rights for the working class, the right of assembly and setting free political prisoners, for example. With gunfire behind his back, he and others travelled to Finland by foot on ice that barely held their weight. Not everyone was as lucky as him and many fell to their death when the ice broke. On this journey he walked with another man and when they realized they won't have any contacts to their relatives now, they decided they will be brothers from now on. March 18th 2021 marks 100 years from this event."
    -Pekka
The song is from the split 7" with Thousand Oaks whose vocalist/drummer Alessandro Gavazzi features vocals in this song.
