I ordered my Conquer Platinum Comfortt 2 with all accessories. And in the process of buying a Landcruiser 100 series 4.2 TD. And its havining some conversions done to it. A mini version of the comfort 2. Then Steve's Auto Clinic will tweak the engine, it will be a beast, nearly 600nm torque
It is a great trailer for sure, but they all have their slight short comings. A trailer is a good setup for a minimum of a 4 night stay. It is quite a bit of work, but once you have the process, it has so many great benefits
Thanks Vic. Yes, very awesome to have Willem over at Leeuwenkloof open this up to us - magic and first rate. The night sounds are always special. 100% I look forward to taking you with us on the next one. Sooner than later we hope
Great video. Remember that the hand brake only works in the forward dircetion. If its pulle up it will still run away down hill in reverse. If not it will be impossible to reverse the trailer. Please keep the good videos coming.

Lekke soos 'n Cracka Ryan!!!! Awesome video, absolutely love your setup and everything works like its supposed to, no time to struggle in Africa pappie 👍👌✌🐾
Have the Compact 2 non platinum, share all of your sentiments, a fantastic trailer, very very functional and practical. Appreciate your open and honest approach about things like the L-Awning, the extra weight of the sides and the awkward access to the large side opening fridge, however I still feel there is no other trailer that would serve my needs better than this. Also being a bit vertically challenged I carry a small plastic caravan step which makes the world of difference, especially when setup on uneven ground. I am definitely saving for the 270degree quick pitch awning.
Absolutely, and thank you for your comment mate. The 270° awning will be a game changer for us. Just hope it shares a similar footprint for shade and coverage, but then again, for those one nighters, it will be well well worth it. I see conqueror offer a 270° awning on hydraulic struts. When we get there it is definitely on my list of needs. Thanks again. Keep well and keep supporting 🤟
Great review boet but I just look at the price of these which are now as expensive at the more hardtop types like BL and I'm back at renting it when I need it.
Aaaaaah YES, the joys of building up one's car. Its magic, so enjoy the empty pockets, they are your earned stripes for that adventure. Hope we can meet up 🤙
The setup time is the biggest drawback for me on this unit - 30/40 minutes. Those springs are a marine concept when yachts are at anchor or tide off in the marina.
Hi Andre, as an option you can ask for a privacy cubicle with shower attachments that sets up on the side of the trailer next to the main tent cabin. However, for anumber 2 you would have to carry a portable camp toilet, that you would setup in the cubicle. Storing a porta loo would be done in the back of the trailer. Cleaning the porta loo would be a daily activity mind you, and requires water and chemicals. We normally dig a hole, when I'm without my tribe, but with my tribe I used to book camp grounds that have ablution facilities. Hope this helps. Cheers
🤣🤣🤣 a bir overkill wit the robing drill, but, could come in handy. Fir now the tupperware hammer will have to do. Thank you Peter, for the keen interest and feedback. I salute you 🤟

Thanks for the review and What an awesome trailer with lots of storage compartment. I also have the Compact 2 but not the platinum model mine is 2014 model. my question is that i want to install Solar setup on my trailer. i see u have mounted the regulator just above the battery on the luggage side compartment. should i put mine that side and where can i take mine for installation in Gauteng? Regards,
Hey Thabo, thanks for the comment. First off, you can get your solar regulator from Conqueror Connection North Gate (Guateng) in Guateng. Speak to Marius, Ren or Vivian. They can assist for sure. This is where I get my trailer serviced, cleaned and purchased from. Excellent service. You don't have to mount your regulator there, it just suited myself. Look at the 105 W Flexopower Solar Panels X 2. Conqueror also sells them and a fantastic product that works with most setups. Thanks again 🤟
Great episode and review. On a different note, what would you recommend would be a good couple of exercises so that anybody without any trailer pulling experience could do to be better prepared for the adventure and challenges that is ahead. Maybe you could do an episode about that?
Thank you Dewald. Definitely on my list of episodes. So you are suggesting an episode for people without trailers? Will add it and it will take time mate. Unfortunately budget is a BIG concern as business has really taken a knock. Stay tuned and thanks again 🙌
I have the wild dog outdoor screw in legs, but, alas I don’t have a wireless drill. I hope to get there someday. Costs are a bit out of budget, but been eyeing out the amazing gear from Milwaukee
Thanks for the informative and enthusiastic review. I’ve decided I will buy a Conqueror trailer before my Moremi trip in July. Can you recommend a dealer as I stay in Durban and there are no distributors here. I don’t know which model I need, I travel alone and don’t want a big tented area, I want minimal awning and don’t want a 6m tent. If you have a favorite contact let me know please. As I don’t know which model for 2 max people.
Hi Fergus, thanks for reaching out mate, and glad you have made your decision on a conqueror camping trailer. A solid but of kit and very reliable. The only place I can recommend you contact is conqueror North Gate. Speak to Marius, and let him k ow I pushed you forward. He is a great chap and will sort you out proper. As far as models go . . . As a single camper I would advise you go for the trailer I own. The conqueror compact. For awning ask for the 270 degree bat awning. As for the tent, there is an option to replace the tent with something like the iKamper sky camp mini. An excellent product that would look great on the conqueror. Email me at ryananimation@gmail.com and I can push through contact numbers. Good stuff legend, and thank you for your comment. Cheers Ryan

Speak to Jaques and he will give you the best advice when it comes to any form of recovery. The D Link shackles are mounted to the recovery points that come with the rival 4x4 front and back bumpers, also rated for recoveries, and bolt up to the chassis struts direct, behind the bumpers exterior. Hope this helps

Hey Grant, yes, you are absolutely right. Rated Bow Shackles. I have added the front and rear RIVAL bumpers, so they come with rated recovery points. I stand to be corrected, but the Ford's only have a tie down point at the front right of vehicle. I have got unused recovery points for the Ford, brand new. Fantastic!!! Lots of ideas to apply on my mini trailer down here in 🇧🇷!!! Thanks for sharing!
You sold me I was leaning to Ed's Echo but I'm now convinced. Yes the awning is a real bugger. Wouldn't a swing awning work well on this trailer
Both trailer are good choices. Yes, the 270 awning will work, and will make it allot more efficient. Just be very careful for wind.
"Geyser" is such a cool Southafricanism!
Jimbob, thanks champ 🤙
I really like the fact that the trailer is very dusty, but every compartment inside has zero dust.
