It should also be noted, that it is the right to keep and BEAR arms. There is nothing in the amendment about prohibition. It is the citizens decision whether to carry or not, concealed or otherwise.

When I was a little boy vacationing in western North Carolina (I was S.C. born and bred), the state of North Carolina declared a man's home by eminent domain to build a highway. Because they needed only half the man's home for that purpose, they were prepared to tear down half his home and pay him for only half his home, although the other half would have been rendered useless. The homeowner loaded up his gun and warned them not to allow the demolition crew to come unless he was paid full price for his home. That man's stand resulted in publicity that forced the state to pay the man full price for his home. Of course, there wouldn't have been a happy ending but for a free press; but the First Amendment wouldn't have done it's job if that man had not used his rights under the Second Amendment to stand up for his rights under the Fifth Amendment.

You don't get any rights from democracy, you get them from the recognition of rights in the Constitution. It takes a great amount of courage as a high profile person like Tulsi to actually change her position on the 2nd amendment. When I was a little boy vacationing in western North Carolina (I was S.C. born and bred), the state of North Carolina declared a man's home by eminent domain to build a highway. Because they needed only half the man's home for that purpose, they were prepared to tear down half his home and pay him for only half his home, although the other half would have been rendered useless. The homeowner loaded up his gun and warned them not to allow the demolition crew to come unless he was paid full price for his home. That man's stand resulted in publicity that forced the state to pay the man full price for his home. Of course, there wouldn't have been a happy ending but for a free press; but the First Amendment wouldn't have done it's job if that man had not used his rights under the Second Amendment to stand up for his rights under the Fifth Amendment.

HOW DO YOU BOIL A FROG? If you put a frog in boiling water, it will just jump out. To keep it from jumping out, simply place it in a pot of room temperature water and slowly turn up the heat. At first it is like a private pond. The frog agrees that the pot provides protection. No worries. Then the water gets warm like a hot tub and is relaxing those muscles. I generally agree with that absolute distrust; however, most of the time a politician speaks in open ended ways to enable them to go whichever way they want in the future. Very rarely does a politician say in a strait forward way, "back then I believed in X, now i can see why those believe in Y, and going forward I think Y is the best policy and I will hold myself to that". I think the bar has been set so low for what we should honorably expect from our leaders, but when I listen to Tulsi my spider senses do not go off. I get that, I am right there with you. My mother lives in the country and it would take the police quite a few minutes to get out there. In rural America, you have to protect yourself. Anyone who would disarm my mother and leave her defenseless, is never getting my vote! In fact, we’ve seen police refuse to protect children even during shootings. Don't listen to what they say, look at what they do. Her congressional voting record says something other than what she says. I'd like to hear about her membership in the CFR (Counsel on Foreign Relations) and her name on the Klaus Schwab's WEF young global leaders list.
She is literally saying she has changed her mind since Congress.
And she was never a member of WEF. And was connected with CFR for a brief time but a lot of young people have been who have nothing to do with globalist agenda
She got an award from young global leaders who were associated with WEF at the time. She was not part of WEF. They put her pic up as a young global leader award winner, not member.

Colonel Gabbard as a fellow vet I say thanks. Please keep in mind we swore an oath to the Republic via the US Constitution. Our Republic is a form of Democracy. The founders hated democracy hence the agreement of a Republic. Keep fighting the good fight. I wouldn't mind if you ran for President. I'd vote for you.
She swore an oath. She broke it. Now she promise not to break it again in very vague terms.
Would she repeal the National Gun Act? Defund the ATF? Get rid of gun free zones? I heard nothing of substance.
