To commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, volunteers of Sproug Hub Foundation educated underprivileged students on the forts of Maharashtra.
The programme began with worshipping of Shivaji's idol at a location near the school. Many parents as well as neighbours joined for this. The children marched to the spot playing traditional musical instruments and waving the saffron flag. Many students dressed up as Bal Shivaji and Jijamata.
After the aarti, all marched back to the school premises. Sproug Hub Foundation members worshipped the idol of Shivaji Raje kept in school. Some students gave speeches saluting the great warrior and visionary.
One lucky child shares his birthday with Shivaji Maharaj. It was indeed a delight to see everyone singing the special birthday song for him during this event.
The programme ended with the address to students on "Life lessons from Shivaji Maharaj".
Sweets were distributed to everyone.
