What are the benefits of pinning the toolbar in Wagtail CMS?
As part of our ongoing Wagtail CMS updates, we’ve added functionality that responds to text highlighting. As soon as the Wagtail CMS detects that you’ve highlighted text, the handy toolbar pops up so you can edit text. However, we now have a useful pin button that pins/locks the toolbar to the block you’re editing. The cool part? Not only does it pin the toolbar to the block you’re editing, but it pins it to all the other blocks on the rest of the page where the text is located!
This handy new feature in the open-source Wagtail CMS is great for editing content on the fly. Don't like it? That’s fine! You can unpin it whenever you like. Just another way Wagtail, the open-source CMS helps you streamline content creation - whether it's a blog or a full website! Copywriters and SEO content creators rejoice!

Extending wagtail will send chills down your spine. Docs at times are only limited to shallow examples that are no good for something truly usable. So oftentimes you'll find yourself learning undocumented internals which is a freaking time waster. So, yeah, for a landing and a couple of blocks you might start right off. For larger projects you might end up amazed.
This is unfortunately marketing. The platform is undoubtedly maturing, yet it's not that perfect as you tend to advertise.

how to make the default behavior menu attached and visible? because users are accustomed to seeing menus when text editing opens.
for example, if the designers decide that the driver's steering wheel should be in the trunk of the car and start producing such cars - will anyone be surprised?

That's marketing speak for "Sorry we forced you to have disappearing toolbars without asking if you wanted that" 🙂
Add this pinning thing to the user's preferenes so they can make toolbars sticky site-wide. Having to know what you _need_ to do in order to see what you _can_ do makes no sense.
