Actually the real Vulcan word for friend is Katravahsu, And Ashaya means love, And when I put lover in the Vulcan translator it came up with T’hy’la and is actually what Spock thinks of Jim, and I think it was created for Him and Kirk. So if Katravahsu means friend and Ashaya means love That means T’hy’la would be Friend/Brother/Lover together not just one. Logic!

(And incidently, during kalifee ceremonies, they're allowed to bring closest friends. No maximum number) Vulcans just train themselves not to let emotion control them, rather they have control over emotions. there is a difference.
