I can count on my hand the number of truly "alive" people on this planet and Jiri is one of them. What an icon and possibly one of the most influential people in my life right now. I am thankful to be here watching his career unfold.

How popular is he worldwide how many popular youtuber are out of their mind seeing Jiri fighting. I live just 25 miles from Jiri's cabin and it is very interesting to watch czech fans and fans from UK, US. Totaly different worlds.

That is intelligently defending although he was rocked and did not have the strentgth to finish it and fell after the elbow strikes but it was too soon to be called.Maybe one or two clean shots and you call it. But those who know Jiri , hes been in the game for a long time and although hes style is not a grappler he does have some great sweeps , very explossive bridge sweeps and Alex inexperience on the ground compared to Jiri could get himself reversed potentially. Alex probably still wins the fight but the stoppage early, Pereira still deserves credit for the win. I would love to see a rematch.

Jiri came into the fight at 20%, coming off of devastating shoulder surgery, had a bad weight cut, got caught with a lucky shot, and suffered from an early stoppage. Jiri is an Honorable man and a true warrior and Samurai. We know if the fight continued Jiri would have won. Alex got lucky against a severely compromised man. Not hating at all though, congrats.

I like Jiri but let's be honest after watching him fight Rakic there's no way he should be fighting Alex next let alone on two weeks notice. If he does he's only gonna get slept a lot quicker than the first time. he explained multiple times that yes he was out and at that time, the stoppage was good from the point of the referee. But he also proved many times that he's able to regain consciousness quickly and come back so there was a chance the fight would continue. And maybe he wouldn't come back. There is a major difference between someone who has read Hagakure, Gorin No Sho and is generally interested in Eastern philosophy and someone who has probably watched Kill Bill once.
I don't think MW would be a great idea. His chin would diminish in durability and he really relies on it. He's big enough for LHW and has good power, but has more skills and speed than your average LHW.

For Pav, it gives him a chance to reinsert himself in the division with a win over a huge name. Either way it has all of the story and talent to give the fans great fights and make the promotion a lot of money. No matter who wins a hypothetical Pav vs Pereira fight, there is money and history to be made for the fighters and the company

he explained multiple times that yes he was out and at that time, the stoppage was good from the point of the referee. But he also proved many times that he's able to regain consciousness quickly and come back so there was a chance the fight would continue. And maybe he wouldn't come back. What's so hard to understand about this that people have to constantly keep bringing this up.
