I enjoyed the video! I especially enjoy a little YA in the summer along with Murder She Wrote. YA contemporary feels light and free, reminding me of summer, and Jessica Fletcher travels to so many different places in her stories, that I always feel as if I’m on a vacation getaway when I read one of those cozies. I have read “Beaches, Bungalows, and Burglaries” about 2 months ago. I have to be honest, I didn’t enjoy it. I gave it ⭐️⭐️ I hope you enjoy it more than I did.
I'm so happy I found your channel OMG 😍 We need more cozy mystery booktubers spreading the goodness. 😂 I feel like most people just don't know about the genre (I always have to explain what it means). But once someone introduces it to you, there is something for almost everybody inside the crazy variety of themes.
Hi !! I am so glad that I found your channel! I am a new subbie and for the past few days I have been binge watching your videos. I love love love cozy mysteries so much and when I saw that you had dedicated a whole video to the Murder She Wrote Series ...............I jumped for joy!!!!!! I love the Murder She Wrote series and it is my goal to collect them all. Your videos are so good and informative. I realized after watching that there are a lot of cozy mystery series that I still need to read. Thank you so much for sharing..............stay safe......................hugs..................Alisha
Thank you so much, Alisha! I always love to chat cozies and Murder She Wrote, so feel free to leave a comment if you come across any books you want to recommend or see more of!
I don't read books based on what season it is. I just read whatever I am in the mood for whether that be a romance or a fantasy etc. I also live in Georgia and the heat is awful. I don't tend to read cozy mysteries but I've wanted to get more into them. I haven't read very many of them at this point but the only ones I've enjoyed is the Braxton Campus Mysteries series by James J. Cudney. I love all of his books.
I'm the same way. I'm still kinda new to cozies. If you live stories switch witches you might want to check out Angela Pepper's Wisteria Witches series. Vivien Churn has a series that's about a family that owns a restaurant. The first book is Death By Dumpling. The fifth book just came out so it would be easy to catch up.
We can commiserate about the GA hear together! The great thing about cozies is that there is something for just about anything you’re interested in. So if you like baking or crosswords as a hobby (examples), there are books related to that! Same goes for food or places. Happy to recommend some series if you’re interested in getting into them!
I heard Death by Dumplings is great, good suggestion! There’s a link in the description box with other cozy recommendation videos. Also, check out Courtagonist’s channel if you want more cozy recs! 🤗
Intentionally Bookish yes recommend away I will definitely look into what you recommend. I don’t really have very many hobbies besides reading and I love painting my nails.
Love all your suggestions, they are all new to me so I quickly put them in my “ want to read” list. Felt your pain in the heat - it’s was hot and humid today in Georgia.
Hi! I’m a new subscriber & I love your channel! I have been searching for another channel who shares about cozies. I’m so happy to have found you! Scene of the Climb sounds adorable!
I love summer so much. Humidity is not my favorite though and it was 95+ here today. I promise I will try some cozy mysteries soon! I think maybe in Fall, so I'll be waiting for those Fall recs. I've already written down SO MANY books recommendations you've given in from your last few videos.
I don’t mind the heat but it’s definitely the humidity that kills me 😪 Fall and winter cozies are the best because they’re even cozier (if that’s a thing)!!

I wanted summer gone before it started. I like walking but I think I might go out even earlier because it is so hot and on Saturday it's going to be 102. If I sat outside to read I would have to run inside when someone went up or down the stairs because my building is kinda like a motel. I just read whatever I feel like reading. I don't think of any genre as being a part of any particular season. I went camping when I was growing up and it often was in a motorhome. I'm not outdoorsy at all unless read walks count. I've read Tonya before but it was another series where the main character spoke to the dead.
102 is insane! Summer is definitely my least favorite season. 🥵 Walk reading counts as outdoorsy 😉 Motorhome camping sounds fun! I’ve been in one a couple times but mostly camped in tents growing up. I can appreciate motorhomes now though because of A/C!!
It amazes me that we like so many same books, especially those that don't get mentioned a lot. Duffy Brown has another series Consignment Shop series and it is hillarious. Have you tried Jana DeLeon's MissFortune series, for me it has that summery feel to it.
Thank YOU for the suggestions! I don’t think I’ve read the Consignment Shop series but it sounds like something I’d totally be into - adding it to the list! 🤗
You really hit all the points of experiences I would love while vacationing: Bicycling, rving, boating (canoe or rowing), touring (especially walking tours), and the seaside. And, except for one they are short series, so could all be enjoyed this summer. Of the ones you presented, I have recently read 'Beaches, Bungalows, and Burglaries' by Tonya Kappes for a book club on Goodreads and hope to read some more soon. Great picks!
I discovered I already have Geared For The Grave on my Kindle! I guess it is time to read it. On an unrelated note, have you read the librarian mystery series by Victoria Gilbert? The first one is Murder for the Books. I am really enjoying them.
I haven’t read it yet but I chatted with Victoria & a few other cozy authors on a live show I did a little while back! If you’re interested it’s called “COZY UP TO: A Live Cozy Chat” 🤗 She’s so nice!
I feel like whatever universe these books take place in, they need to do some sort of sociological study of how to stop murders from happening at every damn vacation spot xD
@@IntentionallyBookish nah if it were real life or semi realistic there'd be some influencer vlogging about "i survived a night at murder motel" or something like that

YA in the summer totally makes sense! Bummed to hear you didn’t enjoy BB&B... I’ll let you know what I think when I finish and we can compare notes!
thank you! I'm ready for summer already!
Woohoo! Here's hoping summer 2021 is better than last year!
I absolutely LOVE Monk! I will definitely need to check out Toured to Death!
Yay! As soon as I saw that tidbit I was like, yup, sign me up! 😆

Barbara Desmond I will definitely look into those books. Honestly if the synopsis sounds intriguing I will read the book.

Toured to Death sounds great. I'm still trying to decide which kind of cozy I like best.
So many great books I've never heard of💗 thank youuuu
Yay!! Glad you found some that are new to you 💛
Love all your suggestions, they are all new to me so I quickly put them in my “ want to read” list. Felt your pain in the heat - it’s was hot and humid today in Georgia.
Glad you found some new books to add to your list! And yes, Georgia has been brutal the past few days 🥵 Summer as usual! Haha
So many that I want to read. Thank you.
Glad you found my list helpful! Happy reading 💚

Intentionally Bookish have you read the Sweet Pepper Fire Brigade series? SO GOOD. Only 4 books, though.

I totally hibernate in the Summer, I am not a fan of heat!
Same!! Already ready for autumn 🍂

Why at first was I like...look at Spence on the Beach😍 and got jealous 😂 then the video comes on and I’m like ohhhh 🙃🤦🏽♀️😂
haha that's awesome!
LMAO i wish! Even if I could go to the beach I’d be strapped with a mask and about 500 yards from everyone else 🤣🤣

Awesome! Shorter series are perfect for summer because then you can binge through them while on vacation! 🌴

LOL right! If these were real I’m sure those cute B&Bs would go out of business from all the murders 😂
