I found this video to be extremely helpful. Packed with such amazing and unique gems. I am usually petrified at the thought of interviewing. But I am going to use these tips to help me level up. Thank you, Alexis for paying it forward!🤗
OMMMMMGGGGG....that "follow-up" one pager idea is absolute GENIOUS! I'm gonna try that and actually do a fusion of that on my resume as well. Thanks so much for the tips....been looking for work for 6 months and I need to change up my strategy!
This notification came just in time. I’ve been trying to get out of my current job forever and I’ve been feeling stuck as well as discouraged because of the job market/whole process job searching. Thank you for this!
It really does feel impossible. I got help with the right resources and things are finally turning around for me. I was laid off from Microsoft and share some tips in my newest video for anyone searching for a role!
Lexis i have heard that Co-workers are not your friend so how to build relationships at work to succeed faster than normal as it is said that network is networth ? Could you explain what one should be doing strategically in order to increase value & influence without being trapped in taking unwise steps..
Hi! I’m not an expert at this , but I would say you can still build relationships and a network without them being considered a “friend” ! I would think a friend is someone you feel comfortable enough sharing personal and non-work related information with. So, you can build a network of colleagues, mentors, etc., without crossing that line into friends. These should be people that advocate for you in the work place. I’ve found it helpful to get a mentor and join an employee resource group so I could get connected with more people out of my day to day. Also, my mentor pushes me out of my comfort zone on how I can approach situations at work to help me stand out and show my value. A lot of times it’s about being “seen” so find opportunities where you can volunteer to do stretch projects and maybe do work outside of your scope. Hope that helps some !
Cheers for your new job!
