I am in my early 60s and retired at 53. Lots of people gave me pushback because they had difficulty grasping the concept of not working if you don’t have to. I looked at my life as stages. I earned everything I have now through a lot of hard work, but I owe it to myself to “stop and smell the roses” in my final stage of life. In my case I left the country after I retired and live in Latin America. It allowed me to get away from all the negative things happening in America while appreciating my new environment. I have yet to meet anyone who regrets retirement.
@@MerbertFletcher I love this! Thank you for sharing your experience. I think you have a really healthy view on work and life and that really speaks to me 😊
Greetings Brittany. Very nice break down of the Net worth update. Many Thanks for adding the expenses part of it too. Thanks for keeping it so simple, and enjoyed it very much. Keep up the awesome positive attitude.
Great vlog as always, Brittany! You’re doing amazing. 👍👏We’re so happy to see you settling in and establishing your new routines. The most important thing is that you have a job you love and a wonderful team.💖 Fingers crossed for the car you’re planning to get. All the best and lots of love! 💖💖💖
@@NotAnotherAdventure thanks! I've been trying to thrift all my clothing but I've had to buy some items new unfortunately! It's hard to find quality items at the thrift shops these days 😔
Damn, I forgot that in Canada you have those strange mortgages. We pretty much just have fixed rate mortgages here (usually 30 years) so everyone who bought when you did locked in a great interest rate for life (as long as they don't move) and those of us who haven't bought are screwed.
I own 2 houses here in Australia and also hawaii both mortgage free I wouldn't say I'm rich but I do have alot of money hanging around most of it goes to my daughters 😁

Enjoyed the expenses section, thanks for including!
Also really loved hearing about your experience going back to work! Must feel so good to start adding more back into savings again!
@@wanderlustwildness2402 thanks!! Yeah it's a bit of a relief to not be drawing down my savings anymore!
Love the addition of expenses, so keep it up. And awesome your NW went up.
@@singleparentfire2363 thank you!! The NW should continue on an upward trend from here on out. I'm looking forward to hitting 150K!
Great breakdown, also really interesting to hear about expenses as well. Clothes is something that I need to buy as well but I've been putting it off
