- I have no idea who wrote this song. It's as old as the hills.
And I have a new acoustic guitar! Martin PAGCPA2. I'm lovin it...
I really really wanted to have some nice steel guitar in here but i dont have one (neither can I play one) So i improvised with my electric guitar. worked just fine :)

My dad loved this song, he'd often watch this video and sing it. He passed away two days ago.

I love this song, My Mamma used to sing this song to me while I was growing up, because my Daddy died in a plane crash on his way home to us. That was 76 years ago, I'm waiting for him to hold me tight.
I remember my Daddy singing this song - think I cried every time he sang it! Now he's been in heaven for a few years, and my 90+ year-old Mama is in a home and we're gradually "losing" her to dementia. I'm crying again! : ( Someday, I'll "have" them both again! : )
I love Gospel Music, I refer to it as the music My Dad always played in the car on the way to church when I was a kid, and of course what played in our little church! Why is it that what I once complained about soothes my soul at 35 years old! Conrad I love your music, you are very very talented!!

"Country Horizons" I use to sit on my Granddads knee 32-33years ago and sing along "How far is Harold" while watch them perform this song while on tour..Nanna passed 28/08/08 & Granddad 22/12/12, &hearing this song again has bought back some beautiful memories

Good job my uncle passed away two weeks ago at the age of 31 this was his favorite song he has two little girls at the age of 3 and 2 it was sad to see him go like that. RIP. Good job mate.

You mentioned you didn't know who wrote this classic. It was written by Tillman Franks, a police officer in Louisiana, in 1949. It was recorded by Miss Kitty Wells in 1950. Mr. Franks wrote many other hit songs as well, during that era. Good job on the cover!
