This episode did a lot to save Wandee's character for me. It also made his previous behavior less annoying in retrospect. It's really simple, he didn't hear 'I love you' as a child, so he has trouble saying it as an adult, I know people like him irl. On top of that, he had lost his parents, so he has abandonment issues (side note - maybe that's why he was so hung up on Ter, he was with him for 8 years). He probably won't commit officialy to being boyfriends until the timer runs out and he'll see that Yak is still there. As for the cancer thing - if someone is in early stage, doesn't require immediate surgery and they've run the tests, they'll absolutely send you home. You need to wait for all of the results before they decide on a treatment, you would just be taking up the bed for like a week for no reason.
I liked this episode a lot. I was glad to see why Dr. Dee is so insecure about love. I was also glad that Yak and Dee are each other's safe zone. I'm glad they addressed why the dad left. Sounds like he was consumed with grief, he wouldn't be any good for his boys in that condition.
haha yeah the jump between the dad being in the hospital and then immediately outside to watch his sons duke it out was pretty wild 😂 i think maybe a single line of dialogue could have helped with that transition, like a nurse coming into the room (or even wandee himself since he got all the confidential information from the dad's doctor apparently) to inform them that they just had to finish up some paperwork/tests and then he cwould be free to go, or something. i'll just assume that's what happened lol. but other than a few very minor nitpicks, i really loved this episode! it had a lot of heart and emotion, and really helped resolve a few loose threads by developing both oyei and wandee's characters and revealing a bit more about their reasoning and insecurities. y'all had me literally laughing out loud (between my tears from the emotional bits of the episode) like usual! i can't with the wig moments and the grandma death flags 💀 also the clown costumes in the preview... it's a no for me. that better not feature too heavily in the next episode or wandee goodday is canceled! anything but clowns pls 😭
Yeah, the editing was a bit ... rough... in a few places (hospital to boxing, Wandee's flashbacks & then cutting to Yak and Grandma, and then Wandee suddenly appears out of nowhere)... but if we disregard that, I also agree that it was a good episode
I don't know why so many people missed it, but Wandee literally says 'your doctor said you can go home today'. And I don't know how it is in other countries, but here doctors can speak about the test results with other doctors, as long as no personal data is revealed (e.g. security number, full name and address etc.)
When DC started talking about the parallel between Yak saying Doc & Mix saying Chief - I started laughing because earlier you were mentioning those elephant pants Yak wears often - Mix (or rather, his character, Teacher Tian) wears those same elephant pants in 1000 stars!! 😂😂
I do not know who wrote this episode but it is clearly someone, other than the person, who wrote the prior 9 episodes. Thank goodness! The exchange of dialogue in this episode was much more realistic. The push and pull teasing basically stopped, much to my delight. I actually feel that you all appreciated this episode more. Again, I can't emphasize this enough, grandma isn't going anywhere!!! Unless, she takes her camcorder to the Antique Road Show. 😆
while watching this - still behind in series i found special ep for wedding plan? connection a bit to lita? i wish it was on youtube - -- just proper stuff cut out i wanted only to see the travelling and the wedding? surposed! do not need other stuff
Much better episode overall. It gave me feels as well. Yei definitely needs a lot more help. The gangsters are still looming. Edison I also dislike Wandee at this point. I think your feelings are valid regardless if they give him more of an explanation for his poor behavioral choices. Yak needs to be protected at all costs! He is such a sweet person!! I also love that they showed them in the same room doing there own thing. It’s healthy to maintain separate and congruent lives. Potentially unpopular opinion, but just because someone is ill or fatally ill does not entitle them to anyone’s forgiveness. The parents were wrong for placing all that pressure on Yei though. I can excuse both given the circumstances but that doesn’t make it right. I do feel bad for the step mom but I do yet Yei’s complex feelings about it. I lost my mom when I was a child and even if the next women or person is great, doesn’t try to be a replacement parent or isn’t really in the picture.. at the end of the day “you’re not my mom” will always be at the forefront. Wandee was doing ok until he started negging Yak again. Im so over Wandee at this point and Yak is probably the sweetest summer child to walk the earth, he deserves better. Also, I just want to say Wandee is being all dramatic again… like you couldn’t even hold your trauma in until your trauma episode??? You just have to steal the tail end of Yaks trauma episode really? Also clowns is just not the look in the preview… I’d rather have the mermaids! #LetTheReaperTakeDadBeforeGrandma
It was a great growth episode. I did have a problem with the dad. I think they concentrated too much on the emotional side of the abandonment and not enough on the hardships and the money issues that they had to deal with. They are in that position because he was not there to help. When they were having that fist fight and airing out the money problems, I needed to really see dad feel ashamed and guilty.

Great reaction ❤ ! . Maybe he borrowed from the bank to pay the loan shark and now he is stuck with the bank situation 🤷♀️

She’s not ! Grandma said it herself, she’ll always be by Wandee’s side. 😭😭😭
