Battle between same style of play are always interesting.
Dimitrov is more of an all court player and Stan is more of a shotmaker
So they played in the first round of 2018 Wimbledon, 2018 US Open, third round of 2019 French Open and first round at 2019 Montreal & Cincinnati. Incredible.
And Stan won all of them
What an incredible match. So far the best one I've seen in 2020. You had both Stan and grigor at their best in this one.

If grigor could match in the power dept he'd be more threatening consistently against stan or anyone in the top 10. As talented as he is with all that finesse game in his arsenal he needs more weight of shot to do more damage. It's sad to see this same struggle yr after year. Tbh for a guy that's 6'3+ he's hitting below par for his height. Guys like Stan, Thiem, even Gasquet when he flattens out, former players Almagro and Gonzalez all under 6'3 with a single One handed BH but could absolutely rifle their shots consistently.

It's not at all weak, most people underrate it in my opinion because it is a relatively flat backhand as compared to Stan's backhand. But, I feel, Gregor's backhand, just like Roger's backhand, is pretty versatile and his backhand slice is also better than Stan's backhand slice.

These 2 almost mirror images of each other. Played against each other frequently with SW winning the majority. Maybe SW a bit tuffer mentally and physically stronger. Both are great players, but there's something missing Dim as he has the talent, great athlete, I think it's his mind that let's him down. Not that he doesn't fight hard, but tactically.
