I will say, this game infuriates me because it feels like dementia simulator for me too. I've watched nearly 1000 different series, and I know songs from shows I haven't watched at all too on top of it. It drives me mental trying to remember shows from just 15-20s of a song sample. It's so fun and nostalgic sometimes though.
In the original vod you can see how cracked ironmouse really is and the amount of anime she knows is insane! it soon became connor watching ironmouse flex for 3 hours straight.
Yeah, she was super zooted and also wiped the floor with Connor pretty consistently. Even with ones he knew but didn't have the specific version right (which was dumb TBH).
Hearing Connor yell "I LOVE THAT LITTLE FAT KID!" at the Accel World opening has made my morning. Thank you so much for putting that into my brain; I'll be smiling all day.
It's fun seeing people jump on the AMQ train after this long, always fun to see new players come into it, especially content creators. A bit of humble brag I suppose, but as for your question how I'd do. I was one of the best players in the world at AMQ back in 2017-2018. I haven't played a whole lot recently sadly so I've fallen off, but I'm still relatively good at it. So I'd probably miss 3-4 of them tops.
I relate to Connor so hard here. I can remember how a song goes from listening to it a million times, but as SOON as you ask me what anime it's from, my brain just melts.
2:10 you didn't need to put in the exact movie entry there. There are over a dozen entries with Cha-La by Hironobu in them, so as long as you put one of those in as your answer, you'll get it right. This would include: - DBZ (the TV entry) - Most of the DBZ movies - Gintama The Very Final (yes it's the opening for this movie) Not to be confused with the Cha-La cover by Aya Hirano btw, which is one of the Lucky Star Karaoke EDs. Or the FLOW cover of Cha-La, which played in the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods movie.
@@ClockwerkMan Not my fault you're a clueless tourist who doesn't know the first thing about anime ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Seriously, 3 of those shows are so mainstream that even people who don't watch anime watched them.
One thing this video made me realize how trash I would be if I tried that. Two, it also made me realize how different all the themes of anime that came to the West and were on Toonami stick out. But three...it also made me realize how much I miss old school Toonami and anime watching. When they brought up Samurai Champloo it brought up memories of how me and my friends all would watch pretty much all the animes on Toonami and Adult Swim during the weekend, and then spend the next week in school just talking about the episodes. Everyone was watching the same thing, everyone was interested in the same thing, everyone was caught up on the same thing, and everyone just enjoyed having the conversaions and all being in the same loop. Granted, I love how its expanded, much more diverse, and more more accessible now, but you dont really get those kinds of things anymore, and thats coming from an introvert.
I haven't actually been up to date with anything anime for over a decade now, and the ones I did recognize I just remember as "those bangers in my japanese list on spotify"
I knew a lot of these anime themes because of Amalee or Leeandlie or Monarch (her vtuber) or whatever name people may know her by because of all her cover songs. Love them all.
Lmao as someone whos been playing amq with friends for years, i love seeing Connor learn all the ups and downs of it 😂 (like some shows being divided up into seasons, some not, or when the audio just suddenly cuts out part way thru a song)
I would fail this as I fall in love with shows and then rewatch them over...and over...and over again. This usually means I very easily recognize its openings, endings and insert songs, but I don't know a huge variety of songs.
3:59 and my disappointment intensified each time Connor missed a jojos song because he didn’t put the correct part. How does the jojo man himself miss the jojo songs, still a good video and an enjoyable watch

I play this with my discord server of an MMO guild sometimes. I have over 1k anime on MAL, which fucks us all over when one of the weird obscure anime comes up.
Mouse beating connor in his own mal is such a vibe
So I guess conner has lost his status as anime knower and will be replaced by Ironmouse on Trash Taste
My thought was he has been like that for ages n thought he was just changing his content to be less anime related

Connor: _panicking and shitting himself_
Mouse: _vibing and singing along_
Connor: Monkey smashing his keyboard
Mouse: *Twitch Emote of the car bopping its head to the music*
Watched the VOD of this. Ironmouse started slow but then killed it the rest of the way. Conner was slow the whole way lol
Sounds about right 😂
Wondering if anyone has the VOD links to Ludwig and Gigguk also playing.
Mousey failing to resist at instantly singing nearly every anime song as soon as it played was a one second delay that should have lasted an eternity.

Connor was COOKED the second he couldn't remember the Trigun opening. That song slaps
First two seconds and I'm already had a giigle with Hayasaka picture (Ai), what a great editing.
“Beeps and boops” or our boy fails
Connor's outro being used as background music is making me want to listen to the whole thing. Now if only I knew the name of it

What a way to describe Accel World: "It's like SAO but if Kirito was chubby" by Cdawg Virginia😂😂😂
And what's funny too is that SAO and Accel world take place in the same universe
Connor able to recognize a song is impressive enough for him. For Mr.BeepsAndBoops he deserves some points.
