- In this video I give a sneak peak on a light gun specific Batocera image I've been working on that uses Batocera V35 and will be truly plug and play with the Sinden Light Gun & Wii remote paired with the Mayflash Dolphin bar.

This is the holy grail of Sinden builds. Retropie has beaten the great Harrydog and Kiodiekin at gun builds but Batocera v35 has given me hope. It seems far more user friendly and is touting plug and play to some degree. Wouldbyou share this on arcade punk's when done? Thank you so much.
This is a very good idea to have a light gun games collection as back in the day, not many games worked with them. The ZX Spectrum had the Sinclair Action Pack, with 6 games. You could include that in your build for CRT emulation with Batocera.

Interesting vid. For Retropie we went through this as well, title by title, system by system in BB9 which is now plug and play, all ya gotta do is load bios/ roms. Keep up the good work !

I just got my sinden light gun! its a pain in the ass to set up. I got Mode 2 and naomi working but I cant others to work. a plug and play emulator/rom set would be phenomenal!
you just need to calibrate player 1 and player 2 guns within the carnevil rom. even if you only have 1 gun you need to pretend to calibrate 2. I think you hit one of the F keys to get to the calibration. you only need to do it once and then it will work from then on

I liked the N64 video. Will you do a video like this that shows us the best setup for each system to give us the best picture on modern TVs. What emulator, shader settings, & resolution is the best on a 4K tv. Also what is the best tv brand & settings to use to reduce controller lag.

This is awesome. I bought two recoil versions of the Sinden Lightguns more than a year ago but got so frustrated trying to configure and get it working on Windows with various emulators and games that I put it back in the box and let it sit there till it got to the point where it was pretty much plug and play. Now with Batocera, it looks like that time has finally come. Question though - when will the build of Batocera you're working on will be made available and where? Do you have any update on the progress of this and where I can download it from? Nothing has popped up on ArcadePunks site yet. Aside from Model 3 games, will the build support lightgun games from PS3 such as Time Crisis 4 and most importantly OG Xbox games such as Virtua Cop 3? Thanks in advance.

Hi, could you come on the batocera discord to explain me what's not plug and play on your side. I think that what you call "non plug and play" are : or default preferences that are not the one you wish, but that some other people prefer ; or maybe you got some bugs we have not encountered. i would like to analyze it. by the way, i understand you use "altered" versions of batocera ; some people, report bugs on the altered versions (i dont know about which one) that doesn't appear on the official version. so, always hard to hear it doesn't work when people are not using official versions. anyway, we can analyze together to make it working better.

Agreed. I'm using this SSD build entirely
Separate from what I usually use which is a 4tb ssd. I just unplug my regular ssd and plug this one in in its place. Takes 2 seconds to do and I don't have to deal with altering my regular build. I keep light gun entirely separate because I like light gun better on batocera 35 but everything else I'm happier on my older version of batocera.
I need a light gun. Glen's Retro Show is supposed to be partnering with Sinden so I'm hoping he'll be releasing something soon.
As for CarnEvil, I have it working in Mame and playable with a mouse.
Any luck with a light gun though? I have to running fine with a couple emulators but not with the light gun.

Looks amazing.never tried bactocera.i have a atgames legends ultimate with mayflash bar.would love too have that setup on it.any way you can put all the teknoparrot shooting games on there?also would I have to setup dolphin bar with each emulator?

Made the switch to Batocera a couples months ago... I'll never use RetroPi again. Do it!

Also looking at Batocera Vs RetroBat. Which one would you recommend?
With sinden regular mame emulator is what you want to use for most titles. Not familiar with retrobat so I couldn't compare the two

search light gun batocera on archive and I believe there's a rom download on there that will get you a lot of collections all together.
