Lmaoooooo when other teams realized he couldn’t do anything else besides scoring they passed him around like a loosy in Harlem🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm from the same area as Jimmer. I remember that everyone was wearing Jimmer everything including my supervisor. When I tried to explain that he wouldn't make it in the NBA she said "why, cause he's white" lol. I tried to explain his flaws but nobody understood. Thanks for the video
He would go to prisons to play in the off season just to improve his game but would also bring a smile to those locked up. Salute to him and his family
Everybody wants to play the race card when it comes to b-ball. In truth, there ARE some nasty white boys out there that are too numerous to mention.
Jammer played at BYU the same time Kwahwi Leonard played at San Diego St. They had some great battles in Mountain West Conference play.
I remember not knowing who Kawhi Leonard was, but lord knows we never heard the end of Jimmer. The media couldn't stop talking about him. It's funny how things changed once they got to the NBA.
@Rob We knew who Kawhi was. That rivalry was so hot, they put BYU-San Diego State on the Main CBS channel. Never seen CBS do that with that type of conference, before or since.
Jimmer is a legend over here in China. You show a clip of his dust-up with Stephon Marbury, the result of Jimmer dropping a 54-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist triple double on the very frustrated Marbury, who had four points. Jimmer can run an offense and pass, but he has to have the ball in his hands all the time, and that's not going to happen in the NBA. I've talked to him a couple of times here and he seems to be a good guy.
Litterally most guards in the league can run an offense if you give them the ball all the time and dont care about efficiency. Which will be a lottery team.
The Lonely Master,Dude Can hoop !
I think if he worked on his ball-handling and ball distribution and how to run an offense dude could’ve stayed in the League a lot more time
What does being complacent mean?

Austin Daye outta Gonzaga, I thought ole boy was gonna be a beast then he just flamed out.
I remembered when Jimmers highlights would come on ESPN and the host would end them with, "Winner, Winner,, Jimmer Dinner." 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Something else to mention is because he was the guy at BYU he allegedly had a huge ego which affected how teams looked at him as well. I’m sure he is a bit more humble now but that was also definitely a huge thing that kept him bouncing from team to team
Yeah, I read that too. Apparently early on, he wanted everything to be about him and to have the neon green light like he had at BYU, and the NBA was like "Ummmm, no. You have to earn that" much like the video astutely pointed out. I too think he's more humble now, but that was definitely an issue for him initially.
I’ve never heard of this ever, where did you read this lol. I remember after signing his nba contract he bought like a Honda Accord and a small apt, doesn’t sound like what you said…
@@elliemyers6435 lol nice 1 article from a website I’ve never heard of. Sounds trustworthy
@@wbae1340 The Sporting news is a pretty reputable site. And other people had heard this about him...As the person who posted this said, I am sure he's more humble now, but it seemed like that attitude issue he had didn't help matters. Plus, he can't play effectively at the NBA level without having a high usage rate, so I can understand why he would initially feel like he should have been given the same green light he was given at BYU
@@wbae1340 on the court ego, not his off the court ego. They are separate things. He was a very it’s all about me kind of player coming into the league initially
This makes me think of Dougie Mcbuckets. He was that guy in college, struggled to begin his career, and then became an insignificant role player
Couple things McBuckets had going for him: he's 6'7" and a decent athlete, meaning he can do things a smaller guy can't. Also, he's the son of a coach, which normally means he's better at learning the game.
As a double-digit scorer with elite shooting, McDermott's hardly insignificant. It's just that he's on the rebuilding Spurs.
Could you do one on pj hairston and marshall henderson?
Passed him around like a loosie in Harlem lol
I went to a Rockets preseason game in Oct 2018 playing against Shangai which had Fredette and former Rocket Luis Scola on the team. Jimmer scored 41 out of the team's 86 points in the entire game.
Passed around like a loosey in Harlem😂😂😂 bruh you had some jokes on this one
Everyone talked like Jimmer was going to be this new kind of offensive player prototype. Turns out he was just REALLY one-dimensional.
Didn’t you do a video on Fredette stunted growth already 🤔
Hey @Stuntedgrowth I’d love to see a video on either David Noel - UNC COLLEGE BEAST. Or Grevis Vasquez- Maryland Terps-NBA failure sort of.
I knew he wouldn't make it in the NBA because he had zero defense ability and couldn't go left consistently and couldn't create his own shot. He could shoot but didn't get stronger and had a hard time reading defenses and struggled when in the pick and roll. Overall he was a dynamic player in college and to be fair had he had different coaching on another team he could have been at least serviceable in the NBA because he had shooting ability but he lacked confidence early on
Dude stop it. U know how many players in the nba dont play defense. Nba is no longer about defense. It’s about highlights and entertainment with deep 3 pointers,Crossovers and dunks to boost ratings. He jus came in the wrong era. Jimmer would be a great role player in this eras style of basketball with all the 3 pointers and crossover
Had you had he had you had better English teachers maybe I could understand wtf you trynna say foo
What does being complacent mean?
feeling so satisfied with your own abilities or situation that you feel you do not need to try any harder:
Yo JC that passed him around like a Lucy in Harlem bit had me trippn g lol 😂 😂 😂.. Hell of analogy
Do you think you could do a stunted growth on Darius miles? He went from 14ppg to out of the league edit: just saw he already did one 3 years ago my bad😅
I bought that bum Cleveland jersey instead of a lbj jersey what a mistake
Ego can either mold you or destroy you.
I remember him, as a rookie, breaking down a defender and driving to the basket. The weak side defender slides in the paint to stop his drive. Jimmer pulls up. But his defender he broke down recovers, and has his hand able to defend Jimmer's pull up J, from behind. Jimmer feels him, from behind, and ends up altering his shot, in mid air.
That play, alone, told me that Jimmer, who could easily blow by college defenders and weak side cats sliding in the paint, had some adjustment he had to do, regarding the speed of the NBA. As we see, he was not able to adjust.
Crazy that you made this. I was just watching his highlights last night. I think I'll be checking some Adam Morrison next lol.
Jimmer can hoop; overseas was just his lane nothing wrong with that.
Great Video JC, you should do Aaron Gordon next. Cause a lot of people were making him to be the "Next Blake Griffin" back never had that success in Orlando. He's doing ok in Denver as a "Role Player" but I think his "Star Power" to be an All-Star is dead in my opinion 😔
We used to yell JIMMER!! before Curry #facts
Sacramento should have had an interesting backcourt with big PG Tyreke Evans and small SG Jimmer Fredette, but when they drafted Jimmer they took the ball out of Tyreke's hands and tried to make Jimmer a "True PG" similarly to early years Steph Curry. I know the problems with Jimmer go beyond this, but I still hate the way Sacramento misused both of their talents
But with Jimmer running the point Evans would have never touched the ball, Jimmer wasn't interested or capable of passing. Exactly why he couldn't last in the league.
@@CM-ft9ep I think you misunderstood what I said. The Kings took the ball out of Evans after year one and tried to make him a wing instead of the slashing facilitator he was his rookie year, and then tried to make Jimmer a True PG instead of a small SG. They got their roles reversed, and while Jimmer's problems were far easier to see, I think it really messed up Evan's career and is why he peaked his rookie year
@@RennWickam Oh yeah, you right. Tyreke coulda been amazing. And, Kings stay f-ing up good careers.
I think the problem was Tyreke+Jimmer+ Cousins.
Tyreke and Jimmer could've worked ok, sharing handling and running off screens, etc. He did fine on a team in Greece with a similar set up (jimmer playing as a SG a lot of the time).
But having too elite scoring guards doesn't work that well with Demarcus wants the ball to Iso up on 30 percent of the plays.
Jimmer is essentially the Johnny Manziel of basketball
I remember him coming into the draft I didn't know much about him we drafted him then traded him to the Kings he had a lot of hype people said we'll regret trading him😬
Let’s be real he started with the kings. That’s It that was his problem. Had he went to a team who actually had a development team he would’ve came out alot better
Despite not being able to guard a chair and being small, I thought he would stick because he could shoot.
You have to be able to do way more than shoot. This is a Grown Man league 😭😭
💯 percent right JC he was a one hit wonder a few good games in college and nothing else. The hype train can take you to the top. But, you don't get to stay there.
How does this man not have 100k
He’s a Hall of Famer based off his senior year at BYU ALONE.. idc what anyone says.
I love your videos, in this one I was missing the one when he tried to tell POP to make plays for him ( he was on a 10day contract)
Passed around like a loosey in Harlem🤣🤣 Gold.
“Passed him around like a loosey in Harlem” 🤣🤣
"....They passed him around like a loosey in Harlem...." 🤣🤣🤣
You think you could do Harry Giles or thon maker. Man they was so nice in highschool!
We need a Oscar Schmidt Stunted Growth 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am brazilian for us Oscar has stunt his growth because he choose play in olympic instead of the nba, real og move, im not a osrcar fan but this was "People champs" type of thing (sorry for my english)
@@GuilhermePereira-co7pi I always wondered about the Brazilian Durant before we even knew of Durant
The basketball version of Irish Terry Conklin 🤣

I got have some of his games on my Hard drive... What about my boy Jameer Nelson?
My favorite video yet, you rock!
Passed him around like a loosie in Harlem got it 😂😂😂😂😂
Always great vids S.G.!
He needs this platform the man had a bright future
I wish the media and Danes weren’t so fixated on seeing/finding the next mike Steph bron etc why can’t we just j on why players themselves because that’s a ridiculous amount of pressure to put on any one
As far as the hype goes he reminds me of Johnny manzell with all the hype and expectation
Think you could do LaRue Martin? Dude was basically the first Anthony Bennett
8:55 I wasn’t ready for that closing statement
Can we get a video on Perry Jones? That dude was insane in high school.
I think the biggest stunt came because Sacramento didn't support him the way Golden State supported Steph. Sacramento sucked back then like they do now. They should have given him the green light for a full season and ran the offense through him.
Great player collegiately who def would have benefitted from NIL payday(s). Thought he would be OK as a pro but decided to still play college hoops in the NBA, so he failed. Great lesson for folks, in that you always have to meet or exceed the challenge where you are, and that the past is merely prologue. RIP to his US career; I know he did his Thing overseas, tho.
I still think he could be be at least a Seth curry in the NBA
Curry is great playing off the ball, Jimmer is incapable of doing that. There's the killer.
Can you do Tony Wroten, that guy suddenly vanished
Shootin like jimmer… you betta be a swimma
U should do justice winslow next
"Passed him around like a loosey in Harlem" killed me
Damn been a minute since I heard of this man
Great series, really high quality!! would love to see one on Steve Francis
Hasn't played in the NBA in over 200 years! Wow. Since 1819
Admittedly, I thought he was destined to be even better than Steph. But I also didn’t think Steph would be more than a 20 ppg guy.
As someone who watched Steve Nash at Santa Clara and Jimmer at BYU I thought Jimmer def had some Nash to his game. Bad defensively, but very good offensively in college. It didn’t help getting drafted by Kings. I think at worst he could of been a poor man’s Lou Williams off bench or at least Jeremy Lin type for someone if given the chance.
The Johnny Manziel of Basketball
Al Thornton next
This man had whole gyms in the hood shooting and saying JIMMER!! He was that guy!
Is there a video for Martell Webster?

As Ice cube 🧊 said he was a “ Big fish 🎣 in a small pound 💯
Put him on 2k my team please 2k.
I tried to tell people hê wasn't going to do good in the NBA and everyone said I was crazy, however I did want him to become a solid player but teams never gave him enough playing time
I had a lot of hopes for him
As a coach now, I can look at Jimmer's shooting mechanics and know why he didn't have success in the league: always off balance, a hitch, inconsistent shot off the catch. He's a ball dominant 2 guard in a frat boy's body
🔥🔥🔥
Yo SG what happened to the bench scorer role?
It was obvious he wouldn’t pan out idk how he made it to the nba but then again he had the complexion for the protection smh being white def has its perks man damn
peace bro. how do you feel about teddy dupay? he averaged 40 in high school!
Mac is having the same issue.
Had to be his attitude because guys with way worse shots and worse defense than him are starting right now.
Idk I feel like The Jimmer never got a fair shake in the nba. I mean, you tell me he can't shoot in 20 minutes off a good team's bench? Doesn't make sense
You should Do one on Wiley Cauley Stein
Yo JC said “Slow Footed naturally” 😭😭 That’s a whole fact he his slow footed naturally lol. That doesn’t translate to the NBA well. Especially at that height.
Did you call Curry "Maybe even top 10 all time"? There ain't no maybe sir🤣🤦🏿♂️, he might even be top 5: Jordan, Lebron, and Kareem are the only players I would definitely put above him as of now. Guys like Magic, Wilt, Bill Russel, Larry Bird etc are arguable depending on which factor/attribute/accolade you choose to highlight
Do Greg oden next🔥🔥
You’d think a shooter would always have a roster spot. Still true for the most part, buoy With the long ball being so commonplace in today’s game, a guy who may not shoot as well, but good enough and can guard 2-3 positions will take that roster spot a guy like joker used to have on lock
stunt gorwth on shappez napier or glenn Robinson n the third
8:59 😂😂😂😂😂
I feel like this is more about Steph Curry than it was jimmer..bro forgot the biggest stunt to his career which was getting drafted to the Kings
Can we get a Josh Selby Stunted Growth next
1819 was a good year
Imagine bro knocking at your door asking if you’ve heard about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 😅
I’m 38. I’ve always said Jimmer is a better shooting, less athletic white Ben Gordon.
Man-the hype for this guy was through the ROOF
Tell me about it, I used to shout Jimmer everytime I took a 3 point J
