I’m an 18 year old boy in Egypt and I have bulimia. All the time I binge eat then go run to burn the calories. Thank you Dina for the video. I barely have any resources to learn from and need to find a way out.
Dina this is so relatable and I feel really seen. Had a binge last night and this was so so helpful. Going to try some of these tips next time I feel the binge coming on. I'm realizing that so much of this is mindset and thank you for the reminder. Proud of you and how far you've come, it's so inspiring.
Thank you so much, Dina. I think I realized just the other day that I binge eat then starve myself. I didn't realize it until I was sitting on the couch after having eaten 40 bagel bites by myself and planning the next days starvation. I'm 32 and never actually realized it? Your message is so timely and I appreciate it. Also your arms are looking amazing 💪😍
I feel like if you’re comfortable it would be interesting to hear how you let sid know/he found about your binging. Like many issues in life, the shame associated with it is almost just as much as the problem itself
Thanks for the video Dina. This is something I struggle with but also am a massive gym go’er. Your tips are really helpful and I’ll remember to pause before a binge next time! You made so many valid points, really hope this video helps so many because I found it really useful. Thank you. Good luck with your journey, it sounds like you’re getting there 👌🏼👌🏼
Dina! Thank you so much for that video and your tips…it is such an important topic! Going through the same situation and having this difficult relationship with food for some time now, it is really encouraging to see a strong woman like you, constantly trying to find better coping mechanism and not giving up through all these years. And I know pretty well how hard it gets. Especially dealing with something you are constantly surrounded with…Many times it‘s just a treaky mind game, the people around can‘t understand. So thank you so much!
Thank you Dina for highlighting this issue and how it affects your mental health too it’s so important to share this and what you are going thru as I didn’t know much and I think I suffer with a mild case of binge eating esp crisps is my addiction xoxo love you keep it up keep talking x
Medical intervention is the only thing that helped me. I had to do a six month outpatient program specifically for Binge Eating Disorder. Unfortunately it really becomes a problem again during Ramadan and I've had to accept that I cannot fast 30 days straight at this point in my life. To everyone reading this, don't be hard on yourself, and don't compare yourself to others.
So true. I’m contemplating reducing my fasting hours this year due to mental health conditions. Most likely my family will not be present. It will be my first time fasting completely alone so that also makes it easier/harder not sure
@@ummaryam1 yes but you are given exceptions in various cases of illness, I have been told based on where I am mentally it is risky for relapse. I was just sharing the guilt I feel over this
OMG Dina i really appreciate you sharing this. You have no idea how helpful is that . Thank you alot i know it's not easy to share that and how you fear it might be triggering but it's very helpful ❤️
DINA! I have watched you since the beginning and I stopped going on youtube bc life got in the way but I popped back on today and WOW you look amazing! Keep up the good work! xx, monse.
Dina. Thank you. I am not even a follower but came across this video and truly benefited from it and feel understood AND learnt some practical tips. May Allah reward you for that.
Hi, I’m very similar to you - have struggled with binging my entire life and was diagnosed with ADHD in December. I’m on Elvanse but still trying to beat the binging (crushed 6k cals in one go a couple nights back whoops) - your videos have been super reassuring, thank you :)
thank you Dina for sharing. i struggle with a lot of the same issues and i'm obese after the pandemic. i've lost and gained weight a bunch of times and its SO hard to not do unhealthy bulimia habits on my weight loss journey this time around. i really want to get it right this time
Thank you for this informative video! This is something I struggle with this although I am a healthy geek. I tend to binge eat dates; I just lose control. I know I have to stop but during the binge episode I don`t want to stop regardless of the discomfort. I feel ashamed whenever it happens but it is way harder to stop it than it looks.
This is so useful. Planned bingeing is something I thought wasn’t common lol, for so long I’ve framed it as a ‘cheat meal’ when really I’d be starving myself the whole week and then pig out to the point of throwing up. 🤢
this is so helpful thank you I have a tendency to do well for a few days feel great then have a horrible binge then feel shame starve myself then repeat cycle- will try your tips xx
I’m someone who is getting over binge eating. I lost 60 lbs about 5 years ago, and gained it all plus more over Covid. Stress eating is real. I’ve found that using mindfulness when eating and trying to understand why I feel the urge is huge. Also, using mindfulness when deciding to eat and paying attention to my body’s ques. Pay attention to how you feel when you’re eating, not just shoving food in and then feeling over stuffed after lol. Eat till you’re satisfied.
Dina, a big thank you for this video. I also have a different relationship with food and your video has been very very helpful as well as inspirational.
Hey Dina! Can we have an update on your ADHD and medication? im recently diagnosed and trying meds and im just unsureeeeeeeeee on what i am even doing lol! Binging is related to ADHD, i am the same with that. Also love my fitness. Really love your content xxx
I binge too and I have the same mindset and what gets out of thinking that I gained weight overnight is just get dressed & hang out with my friends, works 100% everytime
How do you stop binge eating cycle once and for all ive develop a horrible habit of binging when geting drunk and ive been practice sessions of hipnosis each days to stop binge eat it works,
After watching a few of your videos on this topic I've realised that I have this disorder only that I binge constantly and don't have starve days! Is that a thing? I desperately need to lose weight as I'm approaching 40 now & my joint aches and pains have increased & I'm certain my weight has something to do with it....😒
Hey, it's absolutely a thing! Just because someone shares a diagnosis with you doesn't mean it will present in the same ways. Also, your aches and pains might not be weight related and actually be your activity levels. Healthy habits are more important than weight loss. (this isn't my opinion but information shared with me in a BED outpatient program) Praying for your healing on this difficult journey.
Have you tried intermittent fasting? I’m not sure if it’s appropriate for those that are struggling with binging though. It has helped me lose weight personally but I’m also significantly weaker now and trying to eat healthier to get nutrition. It’s a crazy balance unfortunately
My ignorance but I think I binge and as a result I gain weight. You don't seem big and never have....do you really binge in the proper sense or is it just eating unhealthy
Genetics! Not everyonge is going to gain weight as a result of binge eating. Also, if someone is being vulnerable in sharing this very personal information, it's quite rude to question them. Dina knows herself. Stay blessed.
she discusses purging in this video and others. binge and purge is a common but very unhealthy way to compensate for the extra calories. that can be through exercise or other means.
Couldn’t it be both…binging and unhealthy eating? Also she previously uploaded a binging video (trigger warning). It did seem like a binging episode because it was not just one meal
I use to really enjoy and look forward to watching ur videos and vlogs before. Now its just soo boring, ur blabbing on too much about urself and about the same thing. The videoes are really short and u dont do family vlogs anymore.

I agree with the previous poster. Maybe you should try to increase physical activity slowly first and see if that helps with the weight
Binging whilst I’m watching this 😢
