  • The BEST Hot & Spicy Matar Paneer Curry
    Full of flavours spicy tangy onion & tomato gravy, fiery hot chillies the sweetness of the peas and who can resist the soft, succulent paneer cubes
    Creamy & luscious Matar Paneer is one of the most popular paneer dishes in punjab enjoyed with naan, chapatti or rice
    Ingredients :-
    450 grams of Paneer
    1/2 cup Oil
    1 cup of peas
    2 medium tomatoes chopped
    2 medium onions chopped
    Fresh coriander chopped
    Garlic and ginger paste
    4 Cloves Garlic
    Fresh Ginger chopped
    Green chillies chopped
    1/2 tsp Zeera seeds
    1 tsp Turmeric
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Garam masala
    1 tsp Curry powder
    1/2 tsp Crushed red chillies
    2 tbs Yoghurt
    1 small carton cream
    Oil for frying
    Method of preparing :-
    Dice (cut) the paneer into cubes
    Fry the paneer cubes for a few seconds on each side until they are golden brown in colour
    Take out into strainer and pop aside
    Now take a sauce pan and add a couple of tablespoons of oil and heat add 1/2 teaspoon of zeera seeds
    Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown
    Add a little water and the chopped tomatoes
    Next add the ginger and chopped green chillies
    Now add spices to your taste salt, turmeric, garam masala and curry powder
    Mix together now add 2 tablespoons of yoghurt and crushed red chillies
    Add peas cover and pop on low heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes
    Now add 250mls of cream and a little water, mix together and simmer for 10 mins
    Add the fried paneer cubes and pop the heat on high
    Bring to boil then turn the heat to low and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes
    Your curry is ready serve and enjoy with your choice of sides
