Can't say enough about this song, other than it pulled me in like emotional quicksand. I discovered her via NPR last week, May 9th 2021. Since then I've learned her father died on the highway last year, and her mother yrs before from brain cancer. This is succinctly captured in her line "how can you teach a child about dying, over and over again". She is a soul singer.
