- I don't know if you have seen some of my most recent paintings (ring of fire, blue dragon) but if not this one adds to the large canvases that I am using and I am only using paint and water. I also make my own base coat too! So excited to share this one with you. This one reminds me of a bright and stunning flower.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Dutch Pour
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with Owatrol Floetrol and water only - on a ratio of 1:1:3 - one part paint, one part water and three parts pouring medium. You may have to adjust your ratios depending on the paint brands you use.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Light Rose, Perm Red Violet
Pebeo: Iridescent Violet Blue.
Winsor & Newton: Crimson
For my base color - I mixed a Zinc Mixing White and a Prussian Blue (both Daler Rowney System3 Acrylic).
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Gorgeous and brilliant pallet. Reminds me of a wreath, and Springtime. Now I’m thinking of all the seasonal color pallets for this! The finger swipe really finished this piece off nicely!

Curious if the blue base paint is also mixed with water, I didn’t hear you say anything else but it’s always good to check. I’ve been having trouble getting my pants thin enough recently so I might try the whole paint and water thing. Very nice painting.
