Big Cat Poker Run - Discovery Bay, CA

Going through some old footage from the ig Cat Poker Run and realizing I had some good footage to share. Here's a compilation of us chasing high performance Go Fast boats in the chopper. Making me excited to get some events on the schedule. Yeah, yeah... I know there's music. But once again, I'll remind you... most of the footage is of 100+mph wind blasting the microphone. There were a couple good shots of boats where I got the sound of the high performance motors, which you'll hear about half way through.
This was the first time I tried wearing a harness to shoot outside of the helicopter. It was definitely fun, but it was not optimal for shooting. Too much wind resistance which translates to camera shake. Not the best way to get a sharp shot. I know some of my photographer counter parts will think I'm an idiot or a showoff, and maybe both are slightly true. But I'm also the type of guy that will try anything once. I tried it. It was fun, but probably won't do it again. And frankly... they can kiss my ass.
