- One Tree Hill has been one of my favorite shows since it first aired back in '03. This episode was a hard one, with Keith's death, Dan shooting him and Jimmy.
I made this video, focusing on this episode and on Jimmy, because even though OTH is a fictional tv series, kids like Jimmy Edwards really do exist. School shootings aren't fictional. Sandy Hook, Columbine etc. In many, possibly most, the shooter is a victim as well - just like Jimmy was. A mixed up kid, or young adult, someone who feels alone, like the world is crashing at their feet and no one knows they're even there. Just like Jimmy.
So, if you are a kid - elementary or high school - look around you, open your eyes, and see who are the kids you go to school with, don't make someone feel left out, because if that were you - you wouldn't like that.
If you're a parent, guardian, older sibling or educator - make sure to talk to your kids - but really talk, make sure to listen to your kids - but really listen.
You don't know what kind of an impact you can have on someone else, just make sure you aren't too late en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of... this list is already way too long, lets not make it longer.
This video is dedicated to anyone who has ever felt alone, and to anyone who has lost a loved one in a school shooting. (And to all past and (stayed) current oth fans)

"No. I was out there it's just you"
"Is that so? do you really think I'm the only one? Then ask yourself this, you have treat someone like crap in this school? or left anyone out? "
"What I want to happen? Ahhh.... "
"What's wrong with you? He's just a kid. We're all just kids and we just have this life and the things you say and do we feel that. How can you have so much hate in your heart? How can you act like it doesn't matter?"
"I've been there. And I wanna tell you something, It gets better."
"Not this, it can't"
"It does Jimmy. That pain in your stomach, that pain in your heart, it goes away. That voice in your head thats saying there's no way out, it's wrong Jimmy. Would you please, please just believe me. It gets better"

"This cruelty, this hatred, how did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? .... That we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return, but knowing that some would be lost along the way ... When did we lose our way?"

This was such moving, powerful television. The writing was incredible, the acting was phenomenal & it's one that sticks with you forever.

This episode portrayed mass shootings the way they typically are. No, the shooter wasn’t a psychopath, he or she wasn’t an outcast, and they didn't kill Guinea Pigs as a child. They were just the result of the way society treats the missing and the lost. (I’m talking about targeted shootings to be clear).
This hatred has a name, it's called BULLYING.
Lucas tackling Nathan and going into the school with him is so powerful. And then both grabbing baseball bats as shields. One of the top, yet saddest moments in OTH.
I relate a lot to Jimmy, excluding the shooting, I was the chubby loser kid that was left behind by friends once they gained too much popularity with other people and was just forgotten about. So I knew the pain he felt.
How insensitive of those people. I’m sure they lost out on an amazing friend anyways so their loss.
That's a bit easy to say.
Life is a two way street. Why harm innocent people ?
I rarely cry in tv shows but I cried my eyes out with these two episodes. I would always say how tree hill was a light show to watch but this was much deeper

Ivy M17 when I saw dan pointing that gun to Keith both me and my sister plus mom were in utter shock and our hearts just dropped so hard .

No one would have ended up shot dead if Keith had begged Dan to let him go into the hallway to talk sense into Jimmy after he declined to let him go in
Was not Keith’s fucken job to try and talk Jimmy out of doing anything that is what crisis negotiators are for and what Keith did not want to happen is what should have happened which was the SWAT Team go in because he would not have shot himself with them pointing their guns at him and that would been taking him serious like he wanted
