Worth mentioning that the Class 89 proved a useful testbed for the Class 9 'Le Shuttle' Eurostar locomotives for Channel Tunnel shuttle services and for Class 92 locomotives. The Class 90 locomotive was an upgraded version of the WCML Class 87 The Ruston 88DS shunter looks particularly useful, and will be a great partner for Heljan's forthcoming Class 02.
Absolute gold, this - a decent length video really looking into what Accurascale are working on, some info I haven't heard elsewhere. I noticed a couple of complaints about the sound and yeah probably would've helped to have a couple of lavalier mics, but I could hear everything being said and the background sound made me feel like I was in the shop too - that was quite nice 😊 nice to meet Trevor as well 😅 We're about to move to within an hour of the shop, so I'll be calling in later this year.
I was looking forward to watching this, but with the sound loco running in the background and the lack of microphones being worn, it became difficult to listen to.
Thanks for the transcript … the narrators tend to mumble and over talk at each other. Good looking assembly,of,trains … but why no roof,on the little switching engines? 😊
Can't wait for the 89. I saw it under construction at Crewe Works in 1986.
Fantastic video here👍👌
I’m so so excited for my J67 and 31 also getting a pannier hopefully!

Hello Trevor!
I was looking forward to watching this, but with the sound loco running in the background and the lack of microphones being worn, it became difficult to listen to.
Yeah, have to agree, its a shame when the rest of the production was good, but let down for want of a couple of microphones..
Excellent a joy to watch
Glad you enjoyed it
A fantastic video Anne & Paul. I still really need to make time and pop over to your shop!! Been meaning to do this for ages now!
Kind regards
Anthony
