Yeah even though I don't do smuggle missions, if you're in Crusader you get scanned frequently. LIke every other time you head to Port Olisar or whatnot. Oftentimes when going near that abandoned Covalex center some security patrols will also scan your ship. Sometimes I have those bloody bodypart bags in my ship for disposal missions, but I usually dump them once in space. I can see how that secret cargo hold would come in handy for doing those lenghty drug-running missions.
@@billywashere6965 Yup. The "legal" use for those sections is hiding intel and other data, so non-criminals could use it for storing sensitive corporate materials or even military spy info. 1:47 I was wondering how the statue was held up, then I saw the darker tinited structural glass beneath those lighting strips. The attention to detail is glorious!
The best part is, that isn't even technically necessary in-lore. They have the technology to spatially levitate specific objects, and you can even see Crusader Industries (I think?) utilizing that same technology elsewhere (in the Crusader sales room-y area on Providence Platform, iirc) to basically levitate an engine and it's various parts, pull them apart, and spin them around on a cycling loop for the viewer. I think, if I remember properly, it's relatively recently acquired alien technology (the levitating tech), so it's very expensive and wouldn't be "practical" to use to levitate a large, heavy statue like that Crusader ship statue you mention; it's much more practical to just use structural glass, as you mention. Particularly given they re-use that same statue throughout various platforms of Orison (the Crusader planet), so it'd be particularly expensive to levitate *all* of them. The one interactive display of the ship cockpit that pulls the parts apart is also using that levitating tech, too, I assume. TL;DR: The levels of detail underlying the visible level of detail are also quite impressive, at least narratively.
