Nice! There were a few in there I had never seen/heard of, so you know those are on my list now, haha. I like the discussion part of the video a lot! I agree 100% that the Wii will be collectible and that it will legitimately have rare games and those rare games will likely be the trash/shovelware. I also agree that prices for those games will likely not come close to what we're seeing with the NES and SNES these days. I think you're right about nostalgia driving some interest in Wii collecting right now, but I also think that the high prices of 3rd, 4th and 5th gen games are driving the average/budget collectors to collect for affordable systems, so they're piling in on 6th and 7th gen games now. I also think the reselling/flipping craze is effecting EVERYONE now, so people are buying games they normally wouldn't because they're afraid they might rise in price later, speculators are buying games now and resellers/online merchants are buying inventory in bulk while games are cheap. It's kind of the perfect storm right now... but I kind of wonder what's going to happen once there's a large collecting focus on 3rd-7th gen games and there's no new space for budget collectors to move into because 8th gen games are still releasing at full retail price. I kind of think that's when we'll see prices start to fall and things will normalize a bit more than they have been.
+Derek H Glad you liked it! You brought up some interesting points there, especially 7th gen collecting being so affordable and people trying to become resellers/flippers. I got the remaining few 4th and 5th gen games I wanted a few years ago and dipped out on that. Took out gamecube early too. It will be interesting to see what consoles will be more susceptible to the "bottom falling out" on the prices. I'm looking forward to more of your Wii vids man.
I've been collecting nes, snes and genesis for several years and recently switch over to the Wii. A big influence was MetalJesusRocks and his videos. People are chasing too hard on some of those other consoles right now and it's just out of hand. You can find so many gems for the Wii right now under $2 or $5. And you made great points all through the video and I agree with all of them.
Although I've always owned a Wii, I dismissed it for my PS3. Looking back sure there is plenty of shovelware, but a lot of fun and unique games worth collecting. Might as well pick em up while they're cheap.
+Itwasme007 I don't think I want to. I do enjoy trying to track down the harder to find titles though without buying online though. I may just focus on a few more PS1 and PS2 titles along with a few more higher end SNES ones and I'll be done.
You found Target Terror at GS,...?! Fam you know you are my homie but that one just pisses me off! I have hunted that game for years and finally gave up and just copped it off Amazon. I need to take a trip out to your hunting grounds, always baggin the ill shit that I can never find.
+xRAxK Yeah man I got it a mile down my street. I agree with you though. It was quite a challenge to find. It's definitely uncommon at least. Nothing wrong with buying online though man. It saves a lot of time and hassle!

Thanks man! I definitely appreciate it. Nothing wrong with collecting for more recent consoles.
