Making up for lost time.😉 Fall has got to be my favorite time for coloring succulents. Enjoy. Oh yes.... The Autumn leaves. ☺️ Thanks you so much once again, Lea. Have a Wonderful Autumn Day!🤗😘🥰
In Canberra or places that get frost, I find that Spring is the best time to propagate for Aeonium. My aeoniums babies cut in autumn are still (barely there). 😂 Thanks for watching, Annie. 🥰
I’ve almost given up on black prince as well as melaco for the same reason. Mealy bug magnets 😞 shame as I love the chocolate coloured ones. But there’s so many others I love too haha. Loving this spring weather ☀️ Would it be too late to head chop Aeonium Suncup ? 🤔
Normally yes at the later part of spring. But we've been having low temperatures lately and even forecast chance of frost for tonight. Once temperature gets over 25°C | 77°F, then no more chopping. Thanks for watching, Chris and have a lovely weekend!🥰
I'm excited for us. Soon we'll have all these beautiful babies to make into arrangements. Which reminds me....Ideal for x'mas gifting. Thanks for watching, Louise and have a lovely evening.🥰
Going through your library of videos I may be ready to start. Question, is denatured alcohol the same as diggers metho? We don't have diggers in the US.
One and the same. Just be mindful of the proof. The one I use is 96%Proof. Anything stronger might burn the plants. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!🥰
Good morning Liz (on this side of the world VA, US)…. I love how cheerful you are/sound … perfect video (for me) about aeoniums. I had a bad fungus attacking many of mine during the raining season and lost many but the rest are coming up nicely. Question: i have a very old aeonium (the common one) that the stems keep on growing long, long and curvy with a very large aeonium at the end and lots of ‘babies’…. Should I cut the stem to be a short one or let it keep growing? …; thanks for your videos…. Tere
I have some aeoniums in the same condition but with small heads. Been meaning to chop them off but I keep forgetting. If they're growing curvy and large, they probably need more light. Fall and spring is the best time to chop and you'd probably end up with head of thick cluster. Thanks for watching and have a great day!🥰
Planted in soil and placed in a bright with no direct sunlight area, it should start growing roots in a week or two. Thanks for watching, Kimberly and have a lovely evening.🥰
I find to get Aeonium roots you need to plant stem in slightly moist soil (after callous) and then water weekly. I learned this tip from a grower in Sydney who has been growing them for over 10 years to sell at markets and online 🪴
Yes, leaf babies are possible but take 2 years to get big enough for their own pot. Cuttings are so much faster. Stem babies are faster too if you headchop plants in their growing season 🍁🍂🍁🍂 autumn is best for aeonium ☀️
Not all succulents can be grown from leaves. Cotyledon for example, have never ever grown pup for me. Some thin leaf echeveria for also, won't produce pups from leaves. Some aeonium I featured/mentioned here like mardi gras and red garnet grows pups really fast(one week germination) from leaves, 4 months to get to an inch diameter, depending on temperature. Other aeonium such as sunburst takes a long time(months) to pup on the stalk when cut. One can't generalized on growing succulents as each genus, species have their own unique way of growing. Thanks for watching, Tina and enjoy the rest of the evening. 🥰
Im so glad spring is here (for you, it's fall here in Utah 🤭) I think your going to be busy making lots of babies. Hugs 💚💚💚

Don't the leaves grow roots then grow a succulents on end of leaves
