Nice video... and good of you to help your friends... The areas where they corn didn't do well and the weeds grew good will be helped by gettin' the weeds off before their seeds mature...
Thank goodness you could run till done. With that bearing going out making it come loose could have been worse. I watched Boem farms chopper eat the gathering chain. You can imagine what the knife and knife supports looked like.
Taking it over by truck is less hours on your combine and it saves on wear and tear. I didn't work with crops for farming, just what we had in our family garden so I'm not familiar with what you're doing with the corn. Can't you harvest the ears and grind the rest?
This is a forage harvester it chops the full plant up for cattle consumption. A combine takes just the ear off and removes the seed or kernels. Then leaves the plant residue in the field. some people bales it up afterwards
@@DuffyAg I didn't have any experience with either one of those machines, the closest I would get to one would have been the state fair. I never heard of feeding your cows chewed up corn, I come from a different time. At one time around here everywhere you looked was dairies and you knew you could always get a job when it was time to haul hay. And the only other thing we fed them was grain we had trucked in and fed them while we milked them. Otherwise they were out in the fields.
Great Video!! that driver did a better job following you with the truck than the other guy!!
Thats funnie. My brother started chopping corn and grass with the exact setup in 1997. Claas 695 Mega with a 6 row Kemper head.
I love watching this channel. You’re one of two farming channels I watch. Keep up the good work

Anyone have a link to that pete mach video he was talking about
Pete mack doesn't make videos I keep telling him he should. He works for a large chopping crew in Texas
Kemper is about 10 miles away from my house and Claas about 35😂
All junk
Tiger Batman Kemper is Part of John Deere
John deere is garbage. We use case and only case
Tiger Batman case is okay
If you know a good engineer/ marine engineer they could manufacture new gears at a reasonable price for you.
