Enjoyed the tongue and cheek video James 😄.I believe the people making criticisms of other cultures and countries are over generalizing the people and cultures. Which leads to stereo types. Throughout my lifetime (66) I have experienced different women with different expectations. Right here in the US simply because of the diversity in the bigger cities. Im from the UK, and so is my wife, we in theory split everything down the middle, both our wages are paid into a joint bank account, but i have a better paying job which is 3 times more then she earns, but im told we both putting towards the mortgage/cars payments/etc as it comes from the joint account.
But my wife always seems to have new designer handbags/clothes, im still walking around in 10 year old jeans/t shirts, My wife drives a new Range Rover, im still driving a 10 year old car.
Only thing i can see is Thai women are more upfront with asking for money, where as western women are more clever at manipulating you into thinking there providing for you but in reality are taking more then they are. Lol

The taxation on dating has many variables to it. Speaking for myself, I was raised to pay date nights. It is also a way to judge what the future life will be like with this date. Example: First date, she wants the whole bottle of the most expensive wine on the list. Good indicator to run!

Girlfriend tax in Thailand is 100% required, but don't worry you will pay more in tax after you marry her , the happy wife tax is dubbel , the benefits are great though and comes back to you 1 time a year and usually on your birthday 😉 ( trying to keep it clean) 🤣🤣

An Interesting video indeed however I am quite sceptical how it's been framed. I will share a story for the group. I quickly get fed up of the bar girl mentality and on one occasion I dropped my guard in Pattaya and took a waitress out for a couple of dates. She was elegant and a very attractive 44. When I looked to develop things with her she caringly informed me out of respect to stop wasting my time and informed me that 'Thai lady go for money first, Heart second'. She stated that she makes additional money going for coffees with old men who enjoy her company without sexual favours. A lot of relationships in tourist areas are clinically based on a financial arrangement and most guys dilute the arrangement down for self justification by making a loose connection to western dating and it is clearly not this. There is a huge disparity with wealth with regards to these girls and male tourists and we are seen as money trees and when that money stops falling from the tree their enthusiasm wilts and they are gone quicker than a Jamaican sprinter, lol. I guess it's down to how people met and how the early stages of a relationship formed and whether there was initial payment that lead to sponsorship to stop them sharing their skills. Guys often decide to set up businesses to make their lady self- efficient as this is seen as cheaper for them in the long run. From watching a few of the videos I can see that James is a very generous affluent man but the test in the relationship is when the generosity stop's and we can see if my waitress friend is right about Thai lady motto in Pattaya. In my 17 years coming to Thailand I have heard some horror stories so guys be warned.

I dont give my thai gf shit as I pay for all the fun, food and entertainment. Depending how ugly or charismatic you are you can get taken or meet someone nice. Just word of advice, don't let them move in with you, you will never get rid of them and trust me they get annoying AF quick

Love the VIP, reminds me of Israel, VIP-only theatre with a buffet before and unlimited snacks during the movie. Usually less crowded, then again I don't remember the last time I went to the regular theater.
Now as for the girl tax, that really depends on the relationship/couple, however, I'd say you hit the nail on the head that those in other countries are more then likely also taking their girlfriend, spouse, mistress, etc. out and more then likely they aint going dutch.

I liked the special effects they did for Dr. Fate...! In answering your question about "providing financial assistance", one in the U.S., KNOWS they are paying for this that and the other thing i including everything on the menu at the restaurant, except "Thank You and Come Again!"....and let's remember that is in the "Getting to know one another phase" of the relationship ($200+ on average per meal in some cases)...before ANYTHING else happens....and it is NOT as cheap as it is in places like Thailand, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Colombia..! McDonalds ain't cheap either...!! I have sent women to school and paid for them to start businesses too in the Philippines, help repair churches after typhoons too, and they are all doing well...!! You and Fah continue to do you and live your lives as happy as you are doing and let the haters continue to hate!! That movie theater looks great too! I go to a movie theater right next to Google Headquarters with reclining seats like the ones you showed!! WAIT that food in the lounge is included?? Also, not sharing my buttered popcorn with anyone but am buying them their own....guess I will be paying A LOT of "Girlfriend Luxury Tax" in Thailand...!

Very expensive date for the local population, but 2200 baht = approximately $60 usd for an unlimited Food Buffet, First Class Movie Seating and FREE SNACKS all included in the price is not bad when considering if the couple went out to eat at a restaurant such as the "Olive Garden" before driving to the movie theater..😊
