I grew up Catholic. Left Catholicism around my teens. Was one of those edgy teens. Not great. During this time I got into rhythm games and became slowly became more open to Catholicism. That is how I discovered frums and this song. By the guidance of good people, the intercession of Our Lady, and by the grace of God, I was lead back to Catholicism. I decided to stop listening to rhythm game music especially from frums because it was not good for my mind(like VIS::CRACKED or songs by DJ Sharpnel). But this song stayed. It helps me to contemplate the mysteriousness of God. We come to know Him and desire Him although we're so limited and cannot fully comprehend Him. He truly is grand and wonderful. That area of study is truly something outside of the normal. It is like standing in front of a medieval cathedral, but God is an infinite cathedral towering over us at all times. It's mysterious and at can be intimidating but yet so beautiful. All the mysteries of the rosary. The annunciation, the agony at the garden, the resurrection. This song really reflects the mystery and beauty of these things. This is probably not something that you all are expecting to see but music is very dynamic. You never know how it may be relate to a certain area of thought.
Have that same feeling with any “-core” songs, i have a hunch they’re not exactly Godly but i cant yet conclude if they are inherently corrupted and if i like them due to my corruption or if they are causing it (favoring the former at the moment)
@@ToroTor0 I'm back! This, Angel echo by silent-room, and the lost dedicated are basically the only songs of the "the rhythm game artist genre" that I sometimes listen to now. usually I listen to whitenoise or Catholic hymns (usually hymns suitable for marching because they're awesome!) But to be honest, I think its best to avoid over-listening to music. Music should not be used for entertainment or for filing in quietness, otherwise the music will become bland to the listener, and it can become an addiction. Sometimes just enjoying quietness or praying in silence in better :)
I personally love music, been into music theory recently and it's honestly amazing! Listening to music makes me feel more encouraged and just mentally better overall, but i get who isn't into that. I like to simply stop and feel the artist's emotions through their songs, never gets old! 😊
the lead melody at 2:22 is a gem
Angel Echo
The Avalanches - Etoh
@@artmy3045THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING!!! OH MY GOD!!!!

This song Is so serene
i want to cry
What a gem- sounds like early 2000s/late 90s underground hiphop crossed with Boards of Canada style ambient, totally outside of Frums' usual stuff
WE ARE SURVIVING THE END OF THE WORLD WITH THIS ONE 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This feels really different from other Frums songs, but its cool

If you no longer listen to this kind of music (in general), what do you listen to instead as you come back to Catholicism?
@@jasoncola6071The Catholic church is corrupted, worship independently
