I love all Monitors but man, Crocodile Monitors are the ultimate. The color pattern, head shape, activity level, the way that eye looks at you.......such a beautiful lizard.
Yes, Slinky acts a bit like the hungry weasel in those old Foghorn Leghorn cartoons at times! He even has the lapping tongue part down but doesn't drool quite at much!
can't get over how HUGE Slinky has gotten!! I remember the first video I saw of yours when you hand made a pond for slinky in his old cage. instant subscribe for me. But now all i see is the giant slinky has become
Tyler has the coolest indoor enclosures! I think it’s super cool to let him have her. Slinky had me cracking up in the background lol 🤣🤣🤣🦎🦎 love the crocs!
Yes it is an amazing experience. Good luck! I'm working on another myself. I hope you get to experience the joy of all the little salvadoriis like I did.
I remember that day when Diamond was hanging on the back screen and refusing food... I wondered . Glad that this was just the passing of early slugs... but it shows she is maturing and it was good to see her eat! The idea of an elevated nesting box sounds interesting as well as a structural challenge. And, Lulu will make a great gift for Tyler and we know he is a fully qualified keeper (and daddy to Shrek ).
this whole time i thought you were just temporarily taking care of the three crocs for a friend who was affected by the hurricane. i was a bit caught off guard at first when you said you’d be giving Lulu away 😂
Hi Kenan Tyler will so happy to receive Lulu from you. Your croc monitors are so pretty. You can see their intelligence in their eyes. You have taken such excellent care of all of them. Yes they are like living dinosaurs. They are getting to know you better. Lulu was calm, and Chase does not mind you talking around him, and getting close to him. That is a great accomplishment Slinky is like Dad I am over hete, pay some attention to me. I am glad that Diamond passed those slugs. ❤All of your reptiles, and your channel. Cindy
Their eyes and head movement really reminds me of birds. You can tell they have a very similar situational awareness and understanding of their surroundings as Corvids do. Lending more credence to my assertion that Crocodile Monitors are much more like tree-climbing velociraptors than lizards. Combined with their bullwhip of a tail, that actually makes them more terrifying to me than a Velociraptor would be 😬 Really cool, but REALLY scary 😂
yes but when I go hands on it usually is because I need to relocate them for bad weather. Still a solid idea though, perhaps i should use a box to transport them. Thanks
Even if they trust you a little bit you don’t wanna carry them in your arms because one little moment of stress for them can ruin months of training. If you ever wanna move them, all you have to do is put a box inside their cage for a few days before you need to move them and then you wait until they’re inside the box and then you just move the whole box. This is a huge mistake that everybody makes with alligators too. Although I don’t think alligators would necessarily go inside of the box the way that lizards do it can still work for them.
Kenan what about adding more vertical mounted logs closer to the top of the enclosure in the sun area so they don’t have to hang on the screen, just a thought.
Chase has become so relaxed around you, I feel like eventually you could get to a point where you can interact with him like you do with Slinky, although I can completely understand why you'd take things slower and be more hesitant to trust him with the damage a croc monitor is capable of doing should you make a mistake. Something I've noticed with reptiles of all species, and especially monitors, is that males tend to chill out a lot faster and are easier to bond with, even with the 2 tortoises I own my male is super friendly, never flinches and will even follow me around and try to see what I'm up to, while with the female I have to be very slow and gentle and generally she just wants to be left alone even though she's much larger than the male, so I can't even say it's because males tend to get larger and feel less threatened, but maybe that is partly the case with monitors? Just an interesting thing I often think about.
Interesting.... We certainly see the warrior quality in Inky. And Marge... not sure how to categorize Marge. She is brave and comes to Kenan, but also ready to challenge a much larger dwarf Caiman for food.
Welcome to another week with Kenan and crew!! The crocs are beautiful and I'd love to see one so I can see just how big and magnificent they are 🖤💛 Is Tyler the guy who was helping Jerry build his enclosures at the new place?
Hmm maybe a little far fetched but could the new animal be the infamous Komodo dragon?😍 Absolutely love that species and would definitely be an awesome addition to the kamp
I know or have heard generally you should feed twice a week , but especially for younger ones every 2nd day with smaller meals would double your positive interaction time with them a week which should naturally build trust and as young animals are more manageable it could be beneficial to them and you overall , just a long rambling thought lol , great update as usual bud 👍
Wow... These crocs are tolerating Kenan now! 180-degree change in attitude. I mean, I STILL trust Slinky more than them, but it's nice to see they view Kenan as the "Gift Man" and that they no longer constantly hiss at him. Come to think of it -- isn't Inky the one who still does the most damage to Kenan? Good-looking animals -- from a distance!
Só colab with Jerry coming up? Jerry already has his hands full caring for the adult monitors he is breeding. Could it be that he will let the babies he is keeping , come and hang out with LJ t, ‘ill they get past their terrible twos? You would make such a good step-dad
I was wondering, does every type of monitor need a big water pool? And might an idea, for the monitors that loves to swim. Half of the cage is water pool or creek (sort of) and half land. Might with part of trees, hanging over it and/or a platform above the water. Where they just can relax. Was just an idea in my head, might you like it 😅😉
You need a big pool for those monitor lizards that spend a lot of time in the water. This is primarily the Asian water, Mertens' water, Crocs and Nile monitors. However all monitors perfectly swim and dive and easily enter the water.
Would it be possible to wrap the full enclousure in winter an put a room heater in there like a little eletric heat blower in winter if that would work you wouldnt have to grab them an cost wise im shure you only have 3 days cold in florida a year aniway😂 but even so the money it costs might be worth it to not set back the work you have done taming them
The teeth remind me of musky and pike in the mid-west. You don't expect the nastiness that could happen if they decided to attack. Some animals can just ruin a persons life but understanding those animals helps appreciate them and avoid the damage they could inflict. Obviously the fish are completely different but the teeth remind me of them.
See how the lips cover the teeth? Just like T-Rex? Don't @ me, paleoz. An alligator lizard in L.A. is about 10 inches long. I have been bitten 3 times in 70 years by an alligator lizard. No more, thank you - hurts like hell and they will let go when they want to and only then. If you want to know what it feels like take a standard pair of pliers and crush a fingertip with it, not quite breaking the bone. L.A. Alli looks slow, moves super-speed. The Mosasaurus was a Jurrasic water monitor, precurser to land monitors. Western Swifts (bluebellies) actually employ warp technology. Nature...there are no words.
Give me a half hour with that big male croc he is a puppy dog like Tom said you can see it in his eyes He would let you pet him Just don’t do it when feeding too confusing. Tyler is great !!!
My thoughts exactly. Not opposed to people keeping pets, or even exotic pets. Just think large reptiles are best in a tropical environment. I love Kenan for trying to keep outside, naturally as possible.
Out of all the reptiles in the world the croc monitor is my favorite, beautiful animal!
hard to argue with that :)
Nice to repay Tyler back.. the brotherhood of reptiles is a must!!
Absolutely ! Seeing how the Florida reptile lovers have spoken back to the State Government has warmed my soul !
I love all Monitors but man, Crocodile Monitors are the ultimate. The color pattern, head shape, activity level, the way that eye looks at you.......such a beautiful lizard.
This goes for all monitors but the Crocs are very birdlike. Interestingly enough monitors and birds breathe out the same passageways
I completely agree, but a little scary as well. Nothing to mess with and definitely for serious keepers.
I'm glad the croc monitors learned to trust and like you. I hope Lulu likes Kansas. She'll miss being outside all the time.
Slinky in the other cage greedy for those chicks is cracking me up 😂
Yes,
Slinky acts a bit like the hungry weasel in those old Foghorn Leghorn cartoons at times!
He even has the lapping tongue part down but doesn't drool quite at much!
OMG ❤ King Slinky is just too freaking cute! So happy for Lulu! Also so freaking happy for your progress with Chase and Diamond!! ❤
can't get over how HUGE Slinky has gotten!!
Tylers indoor enclosures are definitely amazing
Which Tyler? I'm thinking of Tyler Nolan, but I'm pretty sure I'm incorrect.
@@bkm2797 Inquisitive Raptors Tyler lol Nolan is cool too 🎸
Thanks, I heard Tyler Nolan doesn't think Kenan likes him so I was confused.
@@bkm2797 I've never heard Kenan say anything bad about him so I don't know what gave him that idea
Croc monitors are just amazing, they are so intelligent, you can see them working things out. Im in awe of them..
the phrase "musical lizards" really got me for some reason. Great to see everyone happy and healthy though lol
I know... me too ! I had this image of Lizards either tooting on flutes, or packing suitcases to swap houses for the weekend 🤣 !
Tyler is going to be happy to have Lulu she's just a beautiful croc monitor
Awww! Going to miss Lulu, but I am very curious of the new comer.
I could sit here all day watching these monitor feeding videos!
Slinky begging is so funny, such a good scaley-dog
Always enjoy a visit at Kamp Kenan, thanks for taking us along.
Yes it is an amazing experience.
Good luck!
I'm working on another myself.
I hope you get to experience the joy of all the little salvadoriis like I did.
Slinky, what a character, love him 😅
I’m a fish guy but I love these croc monitors! And all your creatures!
I love watching your croc monitors. They remind me of my Savannah monitor Dirk!
I remember that day when Diamond was hanging on the back screen and refusing food... I wondered . Diamond and Chase have certainly come a long way. The monitors are going to be a major journey here at the Kamp as the years go by.
Bye LuLu, we will miss you ❤ happy for Tyler 😊
Lulu says Thanks
Kenan getting some lace monitors? Also, add a pile of sand like Jerry does, Diamond will need a proper lay area
this whole time i thought you were just temporarily taking care of the three crocs for a friend who was affected by the hurricane. i was a bit caught off guard at first when you said you’d be giving Lulu away 😂

I’m gonna take a guess Kenan is getting a lace monitor.
Afternoon Mr. Kenan...Those Crocs are amazing!!! Enjoyed the video!!! 🥰🥰
dude you have got living raptors ❤
Kenan…is it possible to lure them into the hide with food? That way you don’t have to go hands on.
🦎❤️🦎
yes but when I go hands on it usually is because I need to relocate them for bad weather. Still a solid idea though, perhaps i should use a box to transport them. Thanks
These gotta be one of my favorite lizards
definitely among my faves
Same, they remind me the most of dinosaurs and I am in love with them 😌😌😌

Lulu is for sure a beauty
Thank you for everything you do you’ve taught me so much on this channel
Can you say prayers for Brian barczyk he has a reptarium in Michigan. He has cancer. Hope everyone is having a good day.
Excelentes conteúdos no seu canal . .. gosto muito dos seu vídeos de filhotes de jabutis .. abraço
So, what are you going to put in lulu’s enclosure after she leaves the camp
Ooo a new monitor? Be amazing if its one of the albinos! Also sad to see LuLu go she really has tamed down for you
Croc monitors look like what Jurassic Park too inspiration for their Raptor’s heads
Cliff hanger......so many cool monitors out there. BTW what happened with the Argus Monitor?
Absolutely quality 👍😎👍
Hmm maybe a little far fetched but could the new animal be the infamous Komodo dragon?😍 Absolutely love that species and would definitely be an awesome addition to the kamp
They are awsome.
Lulu almost takes Kenans hand..next video.."she gone" lol
Just got a black dragon‼️
CONGRATS!
“Little LuLu” also almost took your thumb off the other day... so there’s that.
*Toot-a-loo LuLu*
I suggest getting and insulated shop suite and wear that as well as gloves when it comes time to put them away during the winter. 😉

Maybe you need some high platforms for the crocs!
Yes... they really want to go UP and feel more secure.
How calm lulu is?
She nealy bit your little finger off at the shoulder last video!
Now that is an amazing verbal leap... but I love it !
Wish diamond and chase could have lulu's awesome cage
TBH .. I would keep LuLu .. she's warming up to you ... give diamond away
Só colab with Jerry coming up? Jerry already has his hands full caring for the adult monitors he is breeding. Could it be that he will let the babies he is keeping , come and hang out with LJ t, ‘ill they get past their terrible twos? You would make such a good step-dad
Nice video BIG DOGGIE 💯👣
I’m waiting for the day diamond and chase have an enclosure the size of slinky’s would be awesome
Awsome lizards
I hate to c lulu go hope u will keep us updated on how’s she’s doing

Asif I'm from a lil uk town and I know Wichita Kansas lol
Tobad lulu was my fav monitor.
New Song: Croc-Mon...cruisin', the canopies...you never see her comin'...
I hope you give the new monitor more water to play in.
Right on bro
Gonna miss lulu but that’s nice if you for doing that
He's getting a Komodo Dragon 😅
Croc monitor is longer than the komodo dragon they are really cool
I've been thinking of getting a Black Roughneck Monitor. What are your opinions on them, and would you ever own one?😮
Would it be possible to wrap the full enclousure in winter an put a room heater in there like a little eletric heat blower in winter if that would work you wouldnt have to grab them an cost wise im shure you only have 3 days cold in florida a year aniway😂 but even so the money it costs might be worth it to not set back the work you have done taming them
Do you still have whipit and devo? The baby black throats?
They showed up in the video , "how its made" as Kenan tried out new food options from Fluker. Those black throats are really growing.
@@sallyrutledge8238 yes they did thank you
Where is Mat, haven't seen him for a while

I am from Michigan and my dad was from Canada....and you are right... some of those fish have Wicked long teeth !
Great video bro! What's the difference between a crock and water monitor?
Ahh man sad to see the animals go. Kansas means she is going to have to be inside a good portion of the year
what kind of monitor is slinky?
What camera does Kamp kenan use?
Are you still going to build a smaller box for little diamond when you have time.
*More* monitors? You've got five species at the camp already! 🤣
I hope its Pinky coming back
I guess when you try to bite the hand that feeds you
you get gifted
Chase & Diamond are gorgeous, do ya think Chase would like a fatter tree limb to climb on? ❤😊
And a Tree Limb with bark on it for his claws to grab.
How is lockjaw doing
Tyty 🙃
Wheres r mate Matt?
matt was out of town
Yea I have dogs and I don’t wanna get by them 😂
Hey I could use your professional advice on a turtle I just got. Please let me know if you can.
Woo hoo. Croc monitors. I was arguing with a guy about these. Long story short he got booted from the group. 😂. I win.
Holysh|t I called this I think in the last video 😂 smdh
Is it Tyler who owns Fiona the black throat?
Musical lizards?? Hmmm…. Is Pinky making a return???
See how the lips cover the teeth? Just like T-Rex? Don't @ me, paleoz. An alligator lizard in L.A. is about 10 inches long. I have been bitten 3 times in 70 years by an alligator lizard. The Longest Lizard on Earth & barely The Largest Lizard on Earth compared to the Muscular Komodo Dragon.
❤
💚💜💜💜💜💚
Kinda sad 😞
She’ll go from a nice big outdoor enclosure to living in an indoor cage. Downside of pet trading 😞
My thoughts exactly. Not opposed to people keeping pets, or even exotic pets. Just think large reptiles are best in a tropical environment. I love Kenan for trying to keep outside, naturally as possible.
